Default Looking to purchase a hookah ...

So, I'm on the market for my second Hookah. Originally i ordered a cheap social smoke junior hookah, to try it out. I had never smoked a hookah before that.

Anyways, i decided it's off to bigger better things. I was thinking about buying a KM Double Pear, until i saw they have a leather hose.
Now this is one of the questions i have, in regards to leather hoses and KM's. With the hookah i currently have, after a few bowls, i need to wash the hose due to the mixture of flavors and the fact that it ends up tasting like shit. The flavors just.. get absorbed in to the hose, making anything you hit from there out taste like shit.
Does this happen with a leather hose? If it happens with a leather hose, is there anything you can do? I don't want a leather hose if the flavors stick around and you can't do anything about it, i smoke for enjoyment, the flavors are one of the best part.

I'm also looking for some suggestions on a two hosed hookah, moderate price range, nothing too extravagant. Two hoses and a good smoke is all I'm really looking for.

Thanks.

the best way to clean a non-washable hose is to hang it for a few days and let the resins dry. Then beat the crap out of it so as to loosen the resins and then blow it out w/air via a compressor!
Before buying your next rig, i would suggest browsing our review section for both product and vendor info. Good luck!

Yep search. Or try youtube for review videos of specific models.

Also, get a washable hose like a razan(sp?)...they look bad ass with the big handle!

What about with KM hoses, that have the stiff neck? You can't beat them against the wall, can you? haha

Is there any advantage to leather hoses compared to washable hoses?

the km hoses have a metal coil in them. if you wash it, it will rust.

i dont have a problem with flavor ghosting and ive had the same hoses for forever now. frankly, the only hoses that do have crazy ghosting i cant get rid of are the washable ones. i shit you not lol

Went with a Blue, 38'' KM Double Pear hookah. Got two Razan hoses and some random Shisha with them. Going to try saalaam's herbal mix and some nahkla.

It arrives tomorrow, if all goes well.. Which knowing my life, it wont show up.
Going to break it in with some Epic Smoke chocolate mint (I think), lurv it.

Thanks for the advice with the Razan hoses, they showed up 2 days after order (3 Nazar hookah and Mahir), great quality and looks. Plus i got some free Shisha. :3

Well an advantage of a non washable hose is that you can use that one hose for certain flavors, and it will actually inhance the flavor the next time you smoke that flavor.

But as far as i know social smoke hookahs do not have washable hoses, so you've probably dug yourself into a hole with that as well.

It's washable, according to the ad, the booklet and their site. I'm pretty sure I'm in the clear.

Oh well, time will tell. I'll run to the smoke shop and pay another $3 for a hose. :P
