Default Two Brands of Charcoal

Some guy in my country sets up a hookah shop witch only sells Turkish hookahs (are Turkish hookahs any good?). After some time he starts selling charcoals, which I haven't seen at any online vendor. I believe they are Turkish too. Anyway, he sells quicklights and naturals for a good price (first naturals in my country! woho!).

I don't know what quicklights he sells, so I wondered if any of you might know anything about that brand. PICTURE

Naturals are called ZG and their website is http://www.zoghalghaleb.ir/.

Any info will be appreciated.

I kind of believed I would get this kind of an answer. As I stated above, I haven't seen them on any online vendor. But it really is a bargain here. It's only 40LTL(~$15.44) for 100 pcs. box of quicklights.

Yeah, the cheaper ones are without purge valve. And at the same time I don't like the plate for charcoals on the Turkish ones. They don't have any boarders. But I believe it's only for cheaper ones.

Like I would have that much spare money. But as for as I know no one said anything bad about his hookah'a (Turkish ones).

So, I guess I will need to buy 1 roll of ql and 1 box of naturals and maybe review them. No one else seems to know anything about them.

Turkish hookahs are generally solid rigs however they often lack a purge valve.
The coals you mention( Zoghal Ghaleb) are Iranian and from what I've heard are some of the finest on the market.

The writing on the bag says:
Ottoman (referring to the empire, not the furniture)
Hookah and Barbecue coal, with no dust.

I have seen these used in cafes in Turkey but never paid any attention to their burning characteristics since there was usually a waiter that took care of all the heat management, etc. while I was smoking there.

As far as Turkish hookahs go, there are some brand names out there such as Yurdan, Nargilem, etc., also there are shops especially in Istanbul, where you can buy one offs. Basically it looks like one of the pictures the Egyptian had posted in the past. You go into a shop and select any combination of vase/stem/hose and build a custom rig. Most of those rigs are made in small shops around town. Sometimes you might come across some Syrian and Egyptian rigs also.

Thanks for the info. But it seems no one really knows much about those coals. I will need to risk buying it.

Ronin looks like he knows a little about the coals but I would just buy a small box to try them out anyways. I know we all probably bought worse coals before.

Not wanting to create a new thread, so I will post here.

I just got my hands on some charcoals, which I haven't seen on online shop (Maybe I missed it?). And google doesn't find any particular info about this charcoal.

It was cheap so I took one roll of it.

Have anyone tryed it? It's says Hamil Al Musk Charcoal on the roll.

Sorry for low quality. Too lazy to take my cam, so I used my webcam on the notebook.

What is your country my friend?

Hamil Al-Musk is a famous chain store in Saudi Arabia, they sell traditional perfumes and incenses. I am sure they have nothing to do with hookah and the charcoal that you have is used to burn incenses. I am not sure if it is safe to be used for smoking !!

I'm from Lithuania.

Yeah, I saw what it sells perfumes and incenses. The shop I brought it said it's for a hookah, so I guess it safe to smoke with it. Actually, I just made a review for it. Gonna edit it and post it soon.

I'm smoking it right now too. As far as I see, it's better than 3 kings and it's cheaper. But I made the review with an experiment too. So can't really say if it changed the flavor, but I think it didn't. Now the only thing left is to see how long it will burn.

I remember those coal. There was some raving about them a while ago on the forums and they were actually "the best" for a period. http://zoghal.trustpass.alibaba.com/..._Charcoal.html
