Default Burnt taste lingering in multiple bowls?

I had a pretty crappy session tonight, i packed multiple bowls and right off the bat i got a pretty horrible taste lingering right off the bat. I did'nt clean the stem for like one day but i doubt thats the problem...

Is it the bowl possibly? It's a havanna funnel, i know it's not legit but it's done the job multiple times. Idk should i just get some blue mist to clean it out

boil the bowls for some amount of time. TheEgyptian has done this so maybe he can help on how long you should boil em for.

I had the same issue, ended up it was tobacco/residue that had burned to the rim. I had to use a brillo pad to scrub it away. After that it was good as new, well sorta. Lol. Just give the bowl a good scraping/scrubbing around the rim and upper areas where the tobacco would have cooked to the bowl.

I did the same thing as well after seeing a thread on here a few months bak

Just boil the punnel in any large utensils keep it in they for like 10 mins, and let it sit they once you turned the gas off and make sure you dont take it out until the water has reached room temperature again

get a utensil, put some baking soda and water, put the funnel in, put the utensil on the stove, boil ...... let boil for 10 minutes .... turn the stove off, let funnel cool down in the water .... then when it is totally cool (i.e. can dip ur hand in water), take it out and rinse it thoroughly.

By any chance are you using wet paper to help make the bowl fit on better? I had a problem with my vortex that gave it this bad flavor of burning. Come to find out that it was the paper at the bottom of the bowl crisping up. After i removed the paper, no more problems...

Its possible you may have gotten a small piece of tobacco caught inside your bowl? It happened to me before with a phunnel bowl, it actually got caught up inside the inside where the bowl begins to flair out, I had to get one of my hookah brushes inside it to scrape it out.

I'll try the boiling method soon and see if it works, it probably is a combination of tobacco hidden on the inside and burnt on the rim. Thanks for the advice guys!
