base = glass = dishwasher safe .... unless it's painted, it might peel off .... It's worthy to note that colored bases might be either painted OR colored glass.

Unwashable hoses are not dishwasher safe, because water ruins them. Washable hoses are

bowls, grommets, even small stems are dishwasher safe ..... however you need to dry the stems very well to avoid rust/corrosion.

I have learned that dishwashing sope removes a surface of the metall ( so the stem ) that makes in vulnerable to rust.. nomatther how good you dry it after you have washed it..
This is coming from someone not into the shisha buisness but is highly educated in other stuff related to knowing theese kind of stuff
so Im not 100% if it's correct with just hookah stems but I would actually NOT use dishwashingssoap inside the stem for this reason even if its not confirmed..

I put mya stems, bowl, and trays in the dishwasher all the time... I once put a base in the dishwasher... never again... after the wash i touched it and it shattered...spontanious shattering i guess... but even so... not doing it again.

understand the in a dishwasher there is a lot of heat and a lot of turbulence. Glass is dangerous as it can break if allowed to bounce at all. Also the vases would not get very clean singe the inside is the part to worry about. Brush and water man.

Regarding washable hoses, do not put them in the dishwasher. not only will the inside not get cleaned at all but the outside is often a decorative material that does not survive water well. On top of all that the high heat is almost guaranteed to melt the glue of the hose if not more. they are not made to have heat applied to them. Avoid this at all costs. You will ruin your hose.

If I were you I would just hand wash it, then you aren't going to have to worry about any soap residue in the vase...I know when you hand wash it there is the possibilty of that too...but you are in control of the rinse time. Plus, in the dishwasher there are food particles floating around.

The only thing I've put in the dishwasher was my bowls and it didnt help out too much. Just as clean when I did it myself.

i clean all my hookah stuff in my bathroom as well. KM stem + sink = epic fail. Plus i use a funnel and shove it in the mouth piece spot for my razan and turn on my shower and run water through it. A lot easier for every thing.

i will argue that just because it is glass it is dishwasher safe.

my instructors in glass blowing have always told us the glass we make is not dishwasher safe for sure and the glass is going to be very similar to the glass used for hookah vases (the exact composition will be slightly different but it is still a "soft" glass/ furnace glass). you might be able to get away with it but i personally would do it

the metal parts should be dishwasher safe unless it is junky metal and then its going to corrode anyway, but unless it is a very small stem or a multi part stem it is kind of pointless to put it in the washer since hand washing will clean it much better, heck even if the stem fits in well i think it will still not clean as well s hand washing it
