Default question...

so last night i was smokin hookah and my gf went to flip the coals and when she went to put them back on top the coal broke in half and fell off and missed the tray and hit the table and broke into smaller pieces and hit the carpet. the holes arent very big but the burns prety much go to the bottom of the carpet. does anyone have any good was of covering this up? hope someone can help.....

ahh this is sooo .. gah.. yeah.. sorry man.. but eventually this happens to everyone I think..
I know of no way to cover this up but would love to learn as well.. My floor ( not only the carpet ) has many burnt black marks on it.. lol..

Try getting a bigger ash tray....the KM tray dwarfs my old ash tray. I havent dropped any coals since upgrading...

if you use sand paper it will rub off all the burnt parts and make it look like it was never there ..worked like a charm for me

I have indoor / outdoor carpet and used a wire brush to remove them. Be careful though it can rip the fiders out around it and make real big bare spot.

yeah it sucks lol. thanks for all the suggestions, ill try the sandpaper and wirebrush thing, if those dont work ill do what they did in the video the only problem there is that i do liv in an apartment which really sucks. i will definately be putting a rug or something under the table now when the hookah is set up.

OOH! Good idea! I've been cutting them out w/an exacto knife.I wonder if my orbital sander will work?

yeah sandpaper works really well, use a fork if you have a burn that's bigger than a quarter.

I use a set of all weather mats from my car that I replaced with better ones. They work like a charm. May smell like burnt plastic but saves your rug/floor =]

Also since it's car mats I have 4!!! hehe

ya after burning my roommates rug (our floors are concrete since it is an old ware house and we are on the ground floor except for his loft) i grabbed a cheap small rug to put down under my hookah, hasnt stopped every little spot but has sure protected from a lot including when a full coco coal decided to crumble/explode in my tongs
