Default Are Exotica Easy Lights a coal "happy medium?"

i never really paid much attention to quicklight coals in general until I heard someone mentioning Exotica Easy Light, saying it's a happy medium between quicklights and natural coals. He said that they're intended to be lit via a stove but are designed to light up faster than natural coals in general, rather than be just torched with a lighter or torch. Is this true? I've never used them before so I can't say, though if they are really faster lighting natural coals I'd run out and pick up a box this afternoon.

i love jap coals cause they are easy to light, and they seem to last for a good amount of time.

i doubt that you can light em with a lighter. when i was a n00b i lit japanese coals with a lighter. it took like 15 fuckin minutes.

japanese coals are fast lighting though. i'd say 3-4 minutes for easy lights. you just have to get the silver shit off otherwise it tastes like ass.

I have exotica golds which are fully natural and they light in like 5 minutes on a burner.

EXOTICa easy lites didnt light up that much faster than other naturals in my experience and the hassle of scraping silver shit off makes them a nuisance. Plus they don't last as long as coconaras.
