ed hardy is not modern art.. the only reason it looks plain is because he was an old timer from the tattoo industry, he was a tattoo artist and when he died some asshole bought the rights to his art work and mainstreamed it to this crap you see on the shelves... Horrible

Ha! I love it! let's ruin the classic hookah with designer emblems. What is this world coming too? I still think the Ed Hardy's are cool looking, I just wonder if they work? Love your quote.

why shouldn't they actually work? its a normal hookah like any other
and it seems to be a mya, so it should work fine.

its annoying for ed hardy stuff to be on every single type of product. i dont mind some of the clothing, but i think a large portion of the clothing isnt worth even 10 dollars. but to each his own

People will buy it. And keep in mind it's just licensed. Anyone can go up to the Ed Hardy rights owner and just buy a license and then print the art on whatever product.

Just like the Ed Hardy Smart Cars... though I doubt anyone would buy such a thing.

Oh the irony, Ed Hardy has a Lamporghini that looks like f*cking trash if you believe it. It's not that i hate tattoo artists i just feel like he is sloppy and generic.

Edy Hardy's lambo..

And a much better tattoo artist's lambo design

I never heard of Ed Hardy but if the stuff shown in this thread is any indication his graphic design abilities suck. I suppose if I wanted some sort of mod type graphics I'd be looking to Ed Ross, Hipgnosis, Malleus, the people that did album covers for International Artist Records back in the '60s or who ever did the first 3 Ash Ra Temple covers.

Basically I really hate the idea however of this sort of design on a narghile in part because the graphics are horrid but also because it seems to cater to the badass biker/stoner poser crowd which is something that I don't think should be associated with our hobby. Lastly, the thing I find most appealing about narghiles is the craftsmanship/artistry that goes into making them and designer lables and trendyness is simply something that totally negates that.

dickies are under 30 for a pair of pants and last a hell of a long time, usuallyl longer than the freaking pre worn, ripped etc "designer jeans"

related point that i know some one has said some place before but lets just go get a bunch of hobos and give them new jeans and have them return them in a few months and get new ones, wash the old jeans and sell them as designer

Ed Hardy is really not that expensive compared to other designers, its the quality thats not worth the 80 bucks. Lucky jeans are well over 100 dollars for a pair, and some of there jackets cost around 500 dollars. When you buy other designer clothing i feel that with price, comes quality. When you buy Ed Hardy, your really not getting anything out of the ordinary. The only thing that seperates it from a standard cotton t shirt that you can purchase for 5 dollars, is the.."Ed Hardy Established...." Definitely not worth the money, and the designs look like crap.

The name is licensed. This is NOT being done by MYA or ELG. Those photos on the website are photoshopped. The coal box on the website is a 3kings box (pay attention to the blue line and the reflection at the bottom). This is just demonstration and hype.

The hookahs ARE chinese.

And the people behind this are not unfamiliar to the hookah industry. It's not some random asshole coming in to cash in on the industry - they've been here all along.

The tobacco isn't bad.

I say no more! =)

honestly, I'd buy one. It could be the designer pipe in my collection. All the others can be the work horses. My girlfriend died when she saw them, she wants one!

I think they're pretty too, but way over priced, and rather bad image quality. I'd want to see the final product and the final price. And I agree, KM stem in one of those would be sweet.

Oh hell yeah I agree they are overpriced. But my tri metal stem in one of those vases and i think id make a mess in my pants. I could see these being at a hookah lounge though. not really a hobby smoker like anyone on here would get.

Any designed vase looks nice, i painted my km vase with some gold and blue and not to brag but it looks cooler. The reason this Ed Hardy crap is being hated on is because he (is/might be) branding F****ing Charcoal and bowls. I could care less what brand my coals are, as long as they don't explode or spew chemicals.

Rumor has it that one of the major tobacco companies has been licensed by Ed Hardy to make these...
