Default for those of you w grommet problems

This may be obvious for many of you, but sometimes you can't fin a grommet for your hose. What I have noticed is that I don't need one for my km or razan hoses for my egyptian hookahs. you can actually just jam it in tight enough without a grommet and get a perfect fit. when using the same hoses for a syrian or smaller hookah you will need a grommet since the hose port is smaller and will not get a seal at all without a grommet. sorry if this is obvious but i have been hearing people say their groms don't fit or are too big, mainly in the km case. do you guys use groms for your hoses on km hookahs or not?

Oh I agree. I use a Razan hose (thanks for selling it to me btw John lol) and have a Mya QT (lol, John again) and while it doesn't fit like it's "supposed" to, you can just shove it in there and it works perfectly fine, 100%, not a single problem. Hell mine actually is pretty snug in there too.

sometimes when you use a grommet it seems not to go all the way in and is loose (great out of context)
glad someone agrees!

I use one all the time, but I have noticed this works because when the noobs set up my hookah they tend to forget the little things.

Its not hose grommets I have issues with, its the base grommets that give me headaches. Silicone grommets for FTW!!!! The only thing is that with the silicone ones the shaft isn't in the hole as tight and sometimes tips from the weight of the hose, but nothing a custom made shim and some rubber bands cant fix...

Especially true with hoses that have wood ends. The ends are softer and will not crack like acrylic often will. Also because it's a more pliable material it will fit more tightly into the hose port.
