Only use coals designated for use with Hookah ie. ******* hookah coals, coconaras, 3 kings, golden coal.

There are big differences in bbq coals and hookah coals, such as death.

the easy answer is use hookah coals only but if you fine pure natural hard wood charcoal that gives off no flavor and is NOT a briquette you should be fine. pure natural charcoal is all just basicaly carbon its the compressed reconstituted stuff that will give issues.

hookah charcoal is a lot less of a hassel than finding something else out there and then cutting and dealing with them

any NATURAL wood would be fine but remember to make sure that it is completely ashed over.

better yet just stick to CH nats.

as long as its not lumber scraps. Most lumber is treated with chemicals to prevent rot etc. and can be very dangerous.

it should be fine as long as the coasl are going well, they just supposedly dont last as long and some times dont give as much heat. if you can use something like CH nats i would as apposed to coals from a fire, they would work but its just like using the wrong tool for a job it might do it but its not meant to
