Default Glyceron vs. Molasses/Honey?

I never knew that there were different additives used in the Shisha. See, reading this forum is actually educational

I was curious, I checked a couple of sites selling Shisha just to see if they mentioned if it was made with molasses or glycerin and I didn't see it mentioned. Only one site did mention wild honey. So my question is how do you know which Shisha is made with what additive? Should it say it in the description on the web?

Generally it wont say anything. You just go by eye. Most stuff like Hookah Hookah, Hookah Freak, and JM's will use glycerine. I think nakhla uses molasses, possibly honey too. And AF will use a combination of them. If you want to know what one has what, just ask us on here. Someone ought to know.

Glycerin is used in honey based, read any Hookah Hookah label and you will see. Except for Epic which ended up as toilet fodder, all my glycerin tobaccos are also honey based.

What about Tangiers?

Molasses/glycerin works well in the stuff I have to constitute, but it's tricky at the same time to add the right amount or you'll have caramel tasting shisha.

Tangiers is molasses based. They also use glycerin.

Most modern style shisha tobacco brands use either glycerin and molasses or glycerin and honey. Very few of them ever use just glycerin as that would taste pretty awful. It's more a matter of the ratios than anything else. Classic styled tobacco is usually just molasses.

Lol, I rephrased to correct myself after reading my own post and confusing myself. I would think Tangiers is molasses based. Not certain on that, only that it makes up half my current stash.
