Default CH Quicklight coals

I just wanted to say something about these. Mostly everyone says to "light in a well ventilated area" and it even says it on the box... LISTEN to what they say! lol I just made the dumb mistake of not listening to all of that and I lit it in my room and I set off the fire alarms and my eyes were watering from the smoke lol.

But don't get me wrong they really are great coals, especially for quicklights. I do recommend them but just make sure you don't make the same mistake I did.

Just wanted to share that. lol

John gave me a free torch lighter when I first ordered from them. I noticed that if you light them and make a flame then there isn't nearly as much smoke.

Just to clarify, if you actually light it so it's "on fire" instead of just igniting then there's a lot less smoke. Cheers!

Lol, try that with an Akhla quicklight. It will set off your neighbors alarms. I light three CH QLs on my gas stove top using the exhaust vent. Haven't had any trouble yet with smoke or smell. And +1 to BobMarley, if they are flaming there is much less smoke.

I just tried CH quicklights and I love them since I primarily smoke outside I don't notice the smoke. In my current residence I pretty much only use QL's ATM. But I love them best QL's I've tried

I heard if you light CH QLs on the top of Mt. Fiji it will pierce the last bubble of our o-zone layer.

All I can say is it's happens even in the best of families, at least once, if not twice.LMAO. I learned the hard way too. I have no excuse I have a vent or hood the size of Texas, the hood is as wide as the stove, sometimes I forget to turn it on, or I think I don't need to, because the windows are open. Here is a picture of my stove and vent in my kitchen.I am going to miss it. We are selling the house my hubby designed and built.
