Default Just tried natural coals

I have only tried japanese natural coals before today and well thats why I stuck to quicklights... I would say one thing The diff in flavor is unbelivable, but then again most the people on here already know that... they also have anouther huge benifit... no coal dust all over the kitchen... that should deff help my relationship... lol

I tried coco nara but I have a shipment of exotica finger coals coming in so I cant wait to try them...

CH coals are different the coconaras, maybe not better or worse. they burn longer but dont stay as hot, they ash a bit more but dont seem to explode when small as bad, they light faster but have a bit of smell to them and they are cheaper.

most people will say they are probably better, i think they probably are better. i havent used coconaras for a while but if i remember correctly the CHs end up being better in the long run

and to those saying exoticas are better, once you figure out lighting the coco coals you wont go back, it takes a bit more practice but they are much better than the exoticas

I will give you the honest run-down of exotica's, coconaras, and ******* hookah natural coals. Exoticas break when ashing, smell like shit when lighting, and give off a slight taste, but give off a good amount of heat, but crack and ash a lot. Coconara's have a slight smell when lighting, but its not a bad smell at all, smells like your baking something, give off great heat, and last extremely long. ******* Hookah Naturals smell bad when lighting, last long, and work well. CH coals are the same as coconara's except they smell when lighting and don't give off the same amount of heat, but are still a great coal and I recommend them to anyone. This is my honest opinion, and I would definitely choose Coco's and CH over exotica's any day.

Yeap, exoticas ash waay too much. Coconaras are like 5% ash, and its more of a sand type ash so it is easy to blow it off the bowl. Ive just started lighting all of my coals outside though. I have found that too be the root of my headaches while smoking hookah. Whatever you do, dont smoke in the same room that your coals were lit in, unless you have superb airflow.

The smell of lighting coals in general makes me sick, it's the worst part of setting up. I use CH, Naras and Exoticas. To be honest I really don't mind the exoticas and what I use depends usually on whatever I grab first.

havent tried coconara but CH coals must be flipped around alot .. they dont burn for long or give much heat..exoticas are good in my opinion.. I like the way they ash.. and how u can choose the size of each coal..

well I ordered exoticas for the same reason i smoke nakhla, it seems to be the best quality for the money... And I ran out of the sample pack i bought at the local hookah shop and I can say ill wait a week to smoke again, i tried anouther bowl with quicklites and couldn't stand it... I can now honestly understand what everyone is talking about... I smoke 2 to 4 bowls a day and I don't even want to touch the stuff until my natural coals come in... It just seems like a waste of shisha with the quick lites because i can't really enjoy it now... lol

What quicklights are you using? Aside from the way they ash, I haven't noticed a difference with CH QLs once that initial smell from lighting them goes away.
