Speaking of cigarettes, my dad and his friend had been smoking cigarettes for years. Nothing had worked for them, nicotine patches were a fail after fail. They got acupuncture about 8 months ago (un-sure about the correct date) and they haven't had any cigarette cravings since.

Crazy video by the way.

Id like to see an equivalent amount of shisha smoked in a hookah without changing the water, and then performing this same experiment with the dirty hookah water. I bet the amount of tar wouldn't even be close, if there even was any.

ya acupuncture and other "alternative" medicines end up working a hell of a lot better than "modern" medicines. ive been going to a guy for a while and he has found a lot more issues and fixed them that "real" docs just say "thats just how it is, just live with it"

ya jimmmmmmaaaa, i know ive smoked with friends for 4-5 hours and only had a tinge to the water but there was also pieces of tobacco in there so most of the color was probably from that and stuff dripping. any test would have to be done with a phunnel with a tobacco that cannot drip (ive had tangiers drip a bit even with a phunnel that was packed just to the hole level) i think though that those that dont change the water would have mentioned it turning brown a while ago

i've seen this video before. it was on my quest of proving that shisha tobacco smoked properly is less dangerous than smoking a cigarette. i should show this to my friends, they just started smoking and they are not addicted yet.

Well not only is tar filtered out by water, but tar is also not created in excess if shisha is smoked properly. Tar is a byproduct of burning organic material.

Yes, if one were to smoke hookah using a head made paper, and filled with dry shisha, then lit on fire and burned into an ash, head and all....It would be a much closer argument that 20 cigs = 1 hookah.

ya, and it would probably make all of us cry

ya i know that proper smoking will give 0 tar, this looks like a great way to disprove any and all arguments to tar being in shisha (then again depending on the definition used maybe not, since anything other than nicotine, even moisture, is "tar" by some definitions)

This is false. Smoke=tar. I am interested in what your definition of 'tar' is.

hookah is not smoked it is vaporized, if it is heated to the proper temperature there should not be any combustion that results in tar

But the "smoke" generated by a hookah is the vapor generated from applying heat to molasses, honey, and glycerin(or whatever mixture is used). If you get a harsh hit, thats an example of where it is actual smoke rather than vapor. I'm sure that theres some sort of condensate that forms from the vapor but it is not like the tar that is generated from burning organic material.

Do this take a napkin (white) put it in between your mouth and the tip and smoke see if you see anything on your napkin then go do the same thing with a cig
