Default Al Fakher tips

So previously, i smoked solely nakhla. I began picking up a few 250s of AF, and really havent gotten the huge clouds everyone talks about. And, there is always a constant tickle in the throat. The smokes not harsh, just not smooth at all. Any tips on making this transition to AF? Should I acclimate it (ive heard of this for other brands, but not specifically AF)? Thankss

Yea, i too have this problem. It is only with my AF Fruit cocktail flavor though. I just mix it a little bit at a time, and it doesnt bother me then.

the throat tickle has to do with heat
adding more will make it go away
but dont burn it

+ 1 i found AF need like 3 coconara's on a vortex or phunnel to smoke well and smooth

Had a bit more heat to it

Also pack AF a bit tighter and pat it down a bit

Also i leave my AF out for like a day or so and this seems to help as well with it

Clouds are huge on AF if its set up right, what are you using and how are you setting it up

I get decent clouds with AF using 2 CH coals and a wind cover.

I'm going to have to try some of those different pack methods! I've got nearly two kilos of AF, and I haven't even put a dent in my stock cause it's never as pleasurable of a smoke as I'd like.

We asked the owners of my local hookah lounge if they did anything special when they prepared their bowls (they only serve AF) and they said they squeezed out a lot of the molasses and packed the bowls pretty tight. I never have the problems people associate with AF when i smoke there.

I also think that heat management is the key to success when dealing with AF.

I smoke AF peach ever day... about 2 bowls worth and i have had this problem a few times. I lightly sprinkle it in the bowl and cover with foil and use 2 coco naras. i get big clouds every time. its all about heat management
