Default Washed a KM Hose

Being new to KM and the hoses, I washed my KM Pro hose unkowingly that it was unwashable. The cardboard stem of the endpipe started buckling and now it wont stay straight. I tried using it after this horrible tragedy and It was insanely wierd to smoke. The pipe was amazing when I used only once. What can I do to salvage it?

I have a nammor hose on the way just incase this thing is done for good.

You can get some tubing and transfer the ends to that. Other than that it's dead. Frankly I suggest just tearing it apart as a reminder of why we don't normal hoses and then save the acrylic end as a replacement for your nammor.

Lol well that sucks. I bought this whole KM set in Queens(NY) for 60 bux, including the KM pro hose and a maya bowl.

I hear the KM hoses are made from paper mache. I just hope this nammor hose wont buckle.

The Nammors/Razans are made of plastic and pvc so they won't buckle like the KM. If you aren't afraid to do some work, you can take apart the KM and salvage it by replacing the paper that buckled with pvc pipe from your local hardware store.

So what exactly will I need in order to do this repair? What thickness should the PVC pipe be?

I think there is a wire that runs up the inside part of the hose which would rust. But I'm unsure, take it apart correctly and see if theres anything you can do.

What if I stuck a PVC pipe down the cardboard tube? Essentially going inside the metal coil and reinforcing the cardboard from the inside.

Repairing it won't work as there is most likely a metal coil in there which will be rusted to shit fairly soon if it isn't already.

Yeah I had the same problem, when I purchased my KM from my local shop the clerk told me that the hose IS washable and I took his word for it. So one day i was smoking and my hose broke, so I went online and purchase a nammor, since the nammor was on its way I decided to cut open the KM hose and see what was inside and there was a metal coil, and it was rusted after only 2 washes. Good thing it broke or I would still be using/washing that hose.

The metal coil runs the entire length of the hose not just in the handle. It is going to rust and eventually particles of metal and rust will begin to fleck off and could be inhaled. You need to replace the hose (you are already doing that) and if you want to salvage the hose you need to replace everything that is not wood or acrylic.

I just took Myka's suggestion an ordered a KM "AS" that I will never bring close to water. I decided to go with the KM hose over the nammor hose for the wider hose and longer handle.
