Default Wood debris in new hose

I've searched around the forum for a problem I am having with a new hose I bought. I notice when I took some drags some debris got in my mouth. It looks like little wood slivers...has anyone had this problem before? How can I get rid of this? Perhaps sand the inside?

What kind of hose is it?

Usually with new hoses dust and dirt and just little particles build up in it from shelf life, if your hose is washable you should give it a good rinse before you use it, if it is not washable you should just blow it out or even a air compressor if you feel like you couldnt get the job done.

If its a brand new hose, then you are looking at a poorly manufactured hose, just exhale a lot, if you have access to an airpump or something, force air down your hose (maybe take it to a gas station and use the tire pump to force air into your hose to purge the little leftover bits

What kind of hose is it? It's just your generic metal coil hose..don;t know the name of it. It's probably some cheapy. I'll work on it...if I end up with a 2x4 in my lungs guess I'll try another hose.

I had this problem with a cheapo hose from sahara smoke. What i did to get rid of it was stick a small thin file on the inside of the handle and the other wood end. Then i grinded it down just a bit to loosen up anything inside there. After that it would happen only from time to time, but it helps a lot. And after a few smokes, it should go away.

In the meantime, perhaps try using some of the filtered mouthtips, or put a cotton ball infront of your mouth or on your hose to catch anything.

I'm having the same problem with my hose.
The only thing you really can do at it is blow out the hose for a couple minutes before each session and clear out all the particles.
I would definitely suggest buying a washable hose instead of using a wood one to eliminate any future problems like that
