Default I Now Bow Down to Nakhla

I just had an amazing session with Nakhla...
I was smoking with a friend who had never smoked hookah and thought the things that we all hate about misconceptions about hookah and wanted to dazzle him with an amazing blend.
I did a mix of Nakhla Mandarin and HH Irish Cream hoping for a citrusy cream flavor. I did a 50/50 blend mix of the two and was at first "What the hell?! I can't taste the Irish Cream at all! This Mandarin is overpowering!"
After the QL went out I redid the bowl and rinsed out the stem and bowl very well and repacked the bowl. I did an 75/25 this time with the two flavors and the Mandarin was still very powerful and I could barely pull out the Irish Cream.
I'm a huge fan of Tangiers and have had a decent amount of Tangiers, but this was only my third or fourth time with Nakhla. I'm just absolutely amazing with the quality of the shisha for the price and how amazing the flavor and clouds are.
I am now stuck between the Tangiers bandwagon and Nakhla bandwagon honestly.
When I get a job and money I'm definitely going to get my hands on a lot more Nakhla.

It is funny how ppl seem to love Nakhla in the States, here in Germany, everybody who is is a passionate smoker, or thinks he knows shit, tends to hate Nakhla. I never had a bowl of Nakhla that was any good, and especially in comparison , I can't understand how anybody would pick Nakhla over Tangiers:P

My first experience was with Cherry, I thought it didn't taste good at all because obviously I was burning it. So my mate that smoked harsh stuff we let him finish it all off and then we repacked carefully and it was the best Cherry we ever smoked. It was heaps good. And I still had the taste in my mouth about 2 hours later.

What do you mean by too much work? Packing your bowl? A friend of mine is hooked on Tangiers and he smokes it like almost any other shisha...

I agree, people tend to underestimate Nakhla because it is cheap but they realize later that nothing is better than Nakhla - Take The Egyptian as an example lol

If i were just starting to smoke hookah, i would not like Nakhla because of the unwashed flavor and the lack of smoke. But now, i can get just as much smoke out of it as anything else, and the unwashed flavor is amazing. It just takes time to appreciate it. Remember, the grass is not always greener on the other side.

The flavor was totally just dead on and I was getting great clouds.
I'm smoking HH Mango right now... it's horrid... i've been going 15 minutes on it... doesn't taste like mango the slightest. I'm Filipino, I know what a mango tastes like and this is definitely not it. Tastes more lke an orange or passionfruit

Your taste buds are being punished by the almighty Nakhla for not being loyal followers. LOL

Tangiers doesn't work in Massachusetts. The humidity changes constantly here. It could be bright and sunny and then five minutes later pouring buckets, then an hour later back to being sunny again.

Everytime I try to smoke Tangiers, I get one of two things - a lot of smoke with shit flavor, or no flavor with no smoke.

I'd say Nakhla is my favorite shisha company so far. I also like Al Fakher for their mint

Tangiers is still probably my favorite brand because I don't think I've ever had a bad experience with it. I've had flavors that I personally don't care for, but they were still great flavors.
I still have to give Nakhla a few more gos, but so far I'm really enjoying it

the problem was you were trying hookahhookah LOL! wouldnt serve that to a dog, and its my mission to kick as many dogs before i die!

IMO nak is brilliant, as is AF golden, SB looses flavours quick, but has a good mixing quality, should be tryign tangiers very soon, and i just know that will be amazing!

forget the bandwagons and just do what you want i love nakhla and it is my standard but tangiers holes a portion of my stash but its just more work, have to make sure its acclimated, acclimate if needed, do the special packing (using a lot of tobacco) etc etc. i like tangiers when i have people over so i just have to recoal and see people deal with buzzes but its just not worth my time or money for an everyday smoke

i think part of the issue in germany is that yall have to moisture laws so the nakhla your getting probably is not as moist as the rest of us

I always loved nakhla, before i even knew about tangiers and starbuzz and alfakher honestly. I used to love alfakher when i first discovered it but after the changes, oye, they took a turn for the worst.

There was a time I was in a smoking shop in Monterey, Ca. They had tons of hookahs and tobacco and such. Havana, AF, Starbuzz, Pharoahs, HH, and Romman besides the standard Nakhla. The guy there told me nakhla was sort of the cheaper tobacco, where SB and Romman are the higher end.

He was sort of right! But not in quality, in price. Romman was shit and starbuzz is good sometimes, but id pay more for nakhla than i would for SB. The thing is that people see a tin can or a label that says premium, or even just the price and automatically think if it costs more, its better.

I feel this mentality might be the case a lot of times in Germany if what you say seems to be the case Nakhla is inexpensive and honestly a good smoke. You dont need anything but a standard bowl to smoke it, it doesn't need acclimation, it doesnt need an oyster fork to pack, its strong flavor and decent cloudage (which is sadly more important to a lot of people than the former) and isnt soaking wet so your stem isnt covered in a honey/glycerin mix when you are done smoking. Your 250g is fluffed in, so you save on your tobacco since you don't pack it down to add more. You only need the equivalent of 2 CH coals, 3 at the most. Its really too easy and really good.

The people here with the nakhla sig i made, and any of their own nakhla sigs know this and love nakhla's inexpensive simplicity and goodness, this is why we stand by it no matter how much more trendy the other stuff is or how much it costs.

edit: Id also like to point out that some people think that just because they paid 200 bucks for a higher end mya (instead of a superior inexpensive mya) and pay for Epic/Zona juice with tobacco in it, they are having a better experience than others.

I have tried SB, AF, Havana, Layalina, Layalina golden, Fumari, DejaVu, and a few others....

Nakhla is GOD incarnate.

Thank you. That is all.

Exactly, more expensive doesn't always mean better. The only place where that does really take place is photography.
