Talking Dry iced sheeshaa

Hi guys!
well im new to this forum
I want to introduce my self
Im Philipp from Switzerland and living in UAE Dubai

Ive been smoking sheesha (hookah) for nearly 2 years now
ive did quite a few experiments on it

ive done hookah chiller system that freezes the glass bottle where the water is ,im using a small refrigerator system that ive dismantle and wrap the copper tubbing around the sheesha glass bottle , its great just wouldnt leave it on 24/7 or I ended up freezing the whole sheesha ill post some of the pics later

I have ordered 10Kg of dry ice and put it on top of the sheesha
it looks nice but it didnt have much effect in cooling the smoke
due to the hose termal loss so in the future I hope to cool down the
hookah hose and see what the effect is

I would suggest against this. It does not seem like it but when dry ice melts it becomes CO2 gas and can easily cause problem if used in areas that are not extremely well ventilated. Inhaling CO2 is dangerous and should be avoided.

Thanx for the idea man, will surely try this out, maybe even tomorrow We usually just put the bowl with water in, in the fridge for about 30 mins. Then the upper layer of water is ice and you just break it with the hookah's stem. I think dry ice will work much better though!

Look, I am saying this from the standpoint of someone that works with volatile chemicals on a regular basis. CO2 is dangerous. It has no odor and can be deadly in large amounts. There is a reason your body expels it. If you are using this technique inside you are making a mistake.

I am aware that it does not "melt" but frankly from your style of typing and speech patterns I decided to avoid the use of the word sublimation. I figured it would be a lost cause.

Just because it's used in carbonated drinks does not mean it is safe in high concentrations. Phosphoric acid is a major component in soda as well. that does not mean you should drink straight phosphoric acid.

Take the advice or don't but don't assume it's safe based on such loose information and conjecture.

It only takes a 1% concentration of CO2 to cause poisoning. Considering the amount you seem to be using it would not be a stretch to think that it is of a volume more than 1% of the cubic area the room you are in measures.

Lets keep it clean guys.

As for CO2 overdose, if you can ensure that your dry ice sublimation is secure in the icechamber, and the vapors are not escaping around the bowl, then you know you are safe, otherwise you may be risking it.

I prefer just a few ice cubes in the vase. Anything more and It seems to lose flavor

Sorry if I seem heated but it's just because I was concerned for your health. that would be the wrong way to go about it.

Glad there are no harsh feelings. Also I am glad to hear that you are safe.

The cold doesn't affect the nicotine content.

Or the buzz :P. It honestly won't make THAT much of a difference with the tangiers :P.

why make hookah so complicated!! Its great with some cool water n good set-up. Nothing fancy. Kudos for you that you want to try new things, but I think the biggest differences in smoke/flavor I've seen have been with bowls. Not with the temp of the water or anything like that imo.
