Default Sooo you all thought Yahoo was bad?.....Look @ Google

Sooo I had google AdWords for about....3 days..and they suspended my account and I have to "revise" my AD...

Google :

At this time, Google policy does not permit the
advertisement of websites that contain Drug paraphernalia; Tobacco. As
noted in our advertising terms and conditions, we reserve the right to
exercise editorial discretion when it comes to the advertising we
accept on our site.

My Ad:

Nazar Hookah
Razan Hose, Shisha, Coal, Hookahs
www.nazarhookah.com

So as you can see...they are no different.

yep, they have been like this for years. they dont like anything which is not family friendly really so tobacco, self-injury (i hate the "emo's" made it today), sex, drugs, etc. really the only ads you can get are xxx ads hah

my sister has run a SI site for years (self-injury.net) and they denied her ads and so has most every other service but one. so few people where clicking on it that it brought in more money to have people just donate to support the site and has one person who pays half the bill every month just so no ads ever come back on the site. i used to read the TOS for the advertisement sites to see if she could put up anything and not the most allowed it. wasnt entirely related to the topic but it was sorta a personal experience on the issue.

It seems that the titans of the internet industry are just as susceptible to the demands of the anti-tobacco industry as the government and society at large. Given that tobacco adverts are nearly banned outside the internet I suppose it stands to reason they'd be banned on the internet as well. I wonder how many ISPs ban tobacco related sites for TOS violations? I suppose that tobacco sellers will soon be faced with marketing restrictions like one sees in Western Europe for politically unpopular music and placed on government "index restrictions" or simply banned.

It doesn't seem as bad as you are saying. I just took screen shots of some of my "ads by google" that I have on my site.

Take a look...

Something isn't adding up here....

That is very true. Google and Yahoo both have banned tobacco advertising as well as Hookahs
