Default multi hose hookah vs single

Hi

I've always had a single hose hookah, what do you guys think of a multi hose approach? Any recommendations?

Thanks

Absolutely unnecessary unless you plan on having lots of people smoking. About three to a hose.

I own a two-hose Egyptian and a three-hoser from Sahara smoke (A great hookah) and to me it's not worth the trouble. When you smoke by yourself, you're constantly trying to effectively plug the unused hose ports. When you smoke with others you're always fighting for smoke and potentially burning your shisha. Not to mention extra hoses and ports to have to clean.

My Sahara has ball-bearings that are supposed to close unused hose ports for you, but they rust shut easily and also can get lost.

After years of trying both, I'm sold on single hoses. Unless you have a lot of people sharing the same pipe (read: 5 or more) it's not worth the hassle. Easier just to pass the hose around (And more fun, IMO).

I personally don't like multi hose hookahs. KM produced a bunch of multi hose hookah and are better than most other multi hose hookahs. There is one problem though, they don't come with a purge valve and in order to pull you have to hold your finger over the other hoses and this could be a problem when your smoking by yourself. I would just stick with a single hose since no one pulls at the same time anyway.

single hose all the way, i boguht a 3 hose mya paragon and converted it to a single hose as the multi hose is to much trouble, pull gets tighter, cant purge it etc, better of gettting a single hose or 2 single hose hookahs

Agreed HJ's mutli-hosed tri-metal KM's have purges as well.

I have a couple of multiple hose hookahs, and i can honestly say i have never used all the ports at once. It has a good "Wow" factor regardless..

Damn, never knew that. I didn't think they came with purge valves. Now I know for future reference.

I would still stick with a single hose though.

2 hose for me, i mean, ones good for a selfish smoke, when i want all smoke, and no lag in pull, but most of the tym i smoke with my brother or a few friends, and two hoses is just rite, any more would be two much, however one thing to notice about two hosers is the purge issue, but if you can stand that then 2 hose is better.

I have a two hose Mya with a purge valve that can't work with the auto seal and it has a cap where you can add another hose. When I'm smoking with a friend I always use the two hose and wouldnt have it any other way, just makes it so much easier and cleaner.

Thanks for your input guys much appreciated.

I've spotted quite a few double > multi hose hookahs and it always intrigued me a little to find out what the smoke is really like. I have a few hookahs so I always end up making another bowl for friends etc and it does get pretty tedious to change coals however with the Coco Nara's it means less getting up!

It seems the general consensus is to stick with a single hose approach.

Thanks
