I've dropped coals countless times, but it was the worst when I used to use quicklights. The coal would fall, then you would go to pick it up, and it would just break into like 10 pieces. Couldn't even pick it up by then, so you just scrub it deeper into the carpet.

I've dropped coals way too many times to count. I'm infamous for ruining people's carpet at their houses.. not always my fault though. Haha.

I've dropped a few on my table (and the non-slip mat under it), but have yet to drop one on carpet.

My time will come.

Mr friends always drop it on mine however for the first time ever last night I did it in my living room!

I decided to use a quick lite because i just wanted to have a quick shisha and I picked up with the tongs and it just broke in to alot of different peices first of all I burnt my finger trying to pick it up lol and whilst a concentrated on the biggest bit the other peices had already done its damage, the carpet looks really bad.

I had 3 or four burn marks in the carpet. Good thing it was old carpet. Our landlord just told us to rip it out. Turns out there was linoleum under it anyway. lol

Actually looks better now.

Yeah, did it the other night.

Did it on my parent's carpet once while I was house sitting for them. Actually got the marks out well enough that they never noticed.

I ususally have my hookah on a table so it goes onto the table , but when I used quicklights since they are round if they feel just right they would roll right on the carpet and the roll around and just plop down leaving a nice burn mark with a little black tail... lol

Numerous holes burnt in my best friends carpet, but its dark green, theyre rather discrete. But, while smoking in my friends car, he decided to pick up the coal, most of it shattered all over the passenger seat, but the main chunk fell back on the tray. He then picked that up, dropped it on the seat, where it completely shattered. Almost the entire seat is burnt.

i've done this twice lol... the best thing to do is get something rough, and chip the burnt stuff up, put a little water on it (not enough to get the carpet WET, just damp), wait maybe an hour, then scrub some more... if you do it right, no one will be able to tell, unless they're inspecting the carpet for the TINIEST defect

You can also use a stiff wire brush to fluff up the carpet and snip the little chunks out with scissors.
