Default exotica coals

Im having trouble getting these to produce enough heat so the smoke is very faint.

Im using a funnel bowl with my own mod on a large KM (30 in). And I use a half coal cut in two pieces.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

when i have used them i notice that they turn off when i use a windcover so make sure they are lit. if they are it will smoke fine. also try breaking the one big coal into 4 pieces rather than into 2.

I love Exoticas. I break a full coal in thirds and use two pieces on my phunnel, one across from the other. I put them on the stove for about 2-3 minutes each side and soon as I put them on there I start getting little smoke and after a few good pulls I get thick clouds.

I think you may not be using enough, sounds like you are using a half a stick? Try cutting it into thirds or forths. If thirds use 2/3rds if forths use 3/4ths, let me know how that works for you!??!?

Are the exoticas easy to break in 3rds and 4ths?

Yes, I think they are ... if you look at my "How To Setup A Hookah - Beginners Guide" at http://www.youtube.com/hookahpro ... you will see me using the exotica coals, and I "SCORE" them with a knife (haha in the video I got nervous or something and said scouring) anyway, I score them with a knife and you can see how easily they break for me. In perfect pieces along the score marks that I made in them. You can also break them without scoring them, but it will break right on the line if you take the extra effort to put score marks.
