Default Question about rotator hookahs

I was wondering if anyone knew if multiple-hose rotator hookahs have an auto seal system? You know, allowing 2 or more hoses to be used at once without the need to plug up the end with your thumb. The system uses a ball bearing or something that seals the hole not being used.

I am looking to buy a new hookah and I was looking at a few double hose ones. I thought it'd be cool to get a rotator to make it easier for a social smoke session and the extra hose would just be a plus. I found that quite a few multi-hose hookahs have this auto-seal system now and I was wondering if multi-hose rotators have it too. If not, I might just go with a single hose. It's not that big of a deal if I get a single hose but I was just wondering.

most do but it depends on the manufacturer. To be frank I suggest against the multi hose rotators. The first hookah i bought was one and it is not up to snuff. Most seem to be fairly shoddily made and have some issues with seals. Nowadays i use single hose traditional hookahs regardless of the number of people and never look back.

single hosed hookahs ftw!

But I do like to break out the 4 hose rotator every once in a while. It has autoseal and smoke pretty well surprisingly.

Thanks for the replies. If I get a rotator I might just get single hose but I'm still looking at hookahs.

Also with a multiple hose hookah, adding a rotating element might just spell for more disaster. Tipping the hookah, tangling the hoses. If you have a multi-hose hookah anyways, theres no real need for a rotators feature on top of this.
This being said though, I'd stick to a single hosed traditional hookah. They are sturdy, reliable and smoke like a charm. Also with a multiple hose hookah that has auto seal you wont be able to purge. Just keep it simple and you'll probably be happy with the result. Also there are videos of how to make a multihose adapter, so if you really find the need for multiple hoses after trying a single hose there are ways to accommodate it.

Multiple hoses on a rotating hookah is pointless.

Multiple hoses kind of replaces the need for passing, and rotating is supposed to facilitate passing...so you are going to need one or the other for this.

Although...i strongly suggest you do neither.

Haha. You know it's not going to rotate.. right? if everyone has a hose, where would rotation be needed?

And all rotators are pieces of crap. Big, sticky, monstrous Jurassic park triceratops pyramid poops.

Yeah, I thought of that ZenSilk. Haha. I guess I thought it'd be more like it's able to move a little without a possible hard movement that could tip it over or something and not really do a full rotation. But, anyway, thanks for the replies and I actually didn't end up buying a rotator. I ended up buying the Syrian X on Hookahstore.com. Good thing they have that 20% discount . I'd like to do a review on it when I get it but I'm not exactly a hookah guru or anything.

i think a rotator might make sense if we didnt come up with flexible hoses....

but we did.

so this is just like putting neon lights on the bottom of a car...pointless.
