Default Best way to light naturals with a lighter?

First things first,
I DO have an electric stove from Walgreens. I know you can just go buy a torch or a butane stove for camping, etc. I just happened to have spent a good chunk of my money on an upcoming paintball tournament (WCPPL ASG, SCP Edge Red, Division 3 if anyone here plays competitively) so driving out to grab either of the above would make my wallet cry.

Anyways, I started a little "Hookah Wednesdays" at SJSU and we all gather outside on the grass outside of the dorms and meet new people, hangout and smoke hookah.. but that also means that I'm a bit a ways away from an outlet. Do you guys know of any "easier" way to light up some Coco's? What I've been doing is resting them above one of my friend's QL's on theirs and waiting for it to heat up on that.

The thing is that nobody really cares/knows the difference between the two and would just rather use QL's, and I just would rather not use QL's. If anything.. I might just go get an extension cord and use the plugs on the street lamps (the cord on my little one is too short to reach the ground) I just wanted to see if there were any way to shave off a few minutes or so out of trying to get a corner of mine red

why not just light it in your room, place it in your hookah tray and walk it downstairs with foil over the tray?

Really you don't have many options you won't be able to light a natural the way you described it will just go out. You'll hav eto either bring the burner outside, or invest in come type of carcoal carrier and just tote that through the building with the hot coals.

I'm thinking of just making the DIY stove, can you get fiberglass at just any hardware store?
