Default coconaras

hi every one just got a question iv seen videos where people have cut coconaras in two pieces iv tried but failed any light on this topic , because i think this is a good way of saving your cocos.

they always crumble into many pieces for me. Never 2 equal sizes. i would like to know the secret as well.

I just get a sharp knife, leave the coal on the table, put the middle of the knife on the coal and push down both side like a seesaw and it cuts right in half for me.

why would you need to cut your coconaras? if its for heat management, simply standing them on their sides rather than face down makes a difference.

i havent tried when they are lit but before lighting I knife away at the middle to make a grove, then bash that groove with a flat head screwdriver via small hammer. pieces aren't always the same size but pretty dam close. ghetto but works

i think this will work well with tangiers , so the heat is spread better and your using less heat and i think getting four pieces out of 2 coals is really good for coconaras plus a windcover you would save loads of coals and money.

i usually use some garden clippers, just one swift cut in the middle, and the break in to 2 pieces, quite easily
