I would think it runs the risk of tainting the flavor. What I do ,if I am up for it, is resmoke the bowl. It still had flavor and good clouds with my med funnel.

When you resmoke the bowl, do you take out the already used shisha?

Ill mix it up so I still have the same amount but all the roasted stuff is on the bottom. (Nothing really ever gets burnt and crispy) Or I will take out the roasted bits and add a little more fresh shisha. But I will always mix it up first.

I did this ages ago with my Fumari (put the unburned remnants back in the pouch) and it ruined the rest of the pouch's flavor. It just wasn't worth it. I recommend what TGF said and just mixing up the bowl and adding some more coal to prolong the session.

you can pull off the un burnt and repack it with more fresh but honestly i dont think its worth it, tobacco is not that expensive per bowl. honestly like 30 cents for a bowl of nakhla, even only 50 cents for a bowl of SB (in a mod bowl, probably 5-10 cents more for a standard egyptian, havent counted the number of egyptian bowls yet)

im all for saving money but why save 5-10 cents at the expense of probably off tasting smoke

My buddy does this. He has an empty tin he puts all the leftover burnt* (but still sorta wet) shisha in and we smoke it when were out of the good stuff. Still has an okay flavor and it doesnt taste burnt. Its just nothing special

the local crappy place will scrape off the charred tobacco and dump it in a bucket and then give free hookahs out with it as their "house" blend

the local place back home house counter special though and they will tell you that its just the little bits that fall on the counter and probably some ash ends up in there and sell it for like 6 bucks for a hookah, supposedly it ends up alright

Which comes out to around 6 bucks for Ed Hardey Shisha, right?

Ive mixed it with other flavors as "filler" if I don't want to smoke that long. It still has the flavor, i'm not sure how long it would last on its own though...

I don't know why I've never thought of this. Whenever I start smoking and pack too big a bowl, I just feel guilty and throw a ton of good shisha out. Thank you all, I now have the confidence to save the bowl and return to it later. Very nice.

with tangiers you can mix it back in. i wouldn't think of it with other brands, i suppose you could with af as well, it will just depend on what the condition of the shisha is. if it looks usable toss it back in to the original tub and mix it in. it will work, you will save shisha, but i have done it a coupe of times and never thought about it again.

I usually will smoke the same head two or three times before chucking it, but generally I only have enough time for a round of coals each time I smoke. I would reccomend getting a second head if you want to do this though, so if you want to save your not-done head of shisha, but you want to smoke a different flavor, you can switch them out and save for later

hrmmmm.. i dont know if i like this idea. I would rather have a fresh bowl each time i smoke. I have plenty of tobacco flavors.

If you frequently have unburnt shisha, maybe consider simply packing less in your bowl. Problem solved

I think that if you did, worrying about the flavor being tainted some way isn't an issue. But then again The 2 of us at FreshSesh haven't ever had that problem. I would go with what the other members are advising and to simply not put as much into the bowl.
