Default Exact Difference between Quicklights & Naturals

It seems to me that there is a lot of dislike for QLs on here.
I heard some people say it spoils the tobacco taste and Naturals do not.

Is that true? Or are there any other significant differences?
I'm using some QLs right now (I don't know what brand) and I don't taste anything other than the tobacco. I've smoked with natural coals before too, and I honestly cannot tell the difference. Those natural coals still looked like QLs but they didn't have the gunpowder on it, so does that even count?

Thanks for your help!

Specific brands/company names would help guys understand more.

Seems to me that naturals burn "cleaner"....but if u smoke some CH naturals/coconaras/exoticas and cant tell the difference between those and your quick lights......then buy whats cheapest.

I notice a huge difference myself, but perhaps you just have some very good QLs? What are you using?

I can tell the difference between the taste with exoticas and the taste with coconut coals. The taste difference between naturals in general and quicklights is HUGE. QLs have a bunch of chemicals and accelerants mixed in with the raw coal, do you really want to be smoking that?

The exact difference would be what they are made from. Quicklights involve chemicals and all kinds of things, naturals are called natural for a reason.

No, I don't want to be smoking that, but I mean... naturals or not, it's still Coal we're talking about. Coal contains toxants in general, even very small amounts of mercury.
I thought that it was just the "gunpowder" that makes the QLs light so quickly, and that burns "clean" off, doesn't it?

I bought some Three Kings (2 Rolls) when I bought my hookah and tobacco in Germany. I think the taste of the tobacco really is not influenced, but maybe I should try some naturals and see what the taste is like then.
I'll definitely try them when I'm outta QLs.

you need to smoke with naturals only for a month, then go back to QL's. you will notice a difference.

There's a huge difference in taste for me. I got stuck with a kilo of QL's. I'll keep them, but only for emergencies!

There is a difference but the only qls I can use is CH QLs. Even with those I feel something different but not as much as the other QLs. When I smoke in the comfort of my own home I always use coconaras and when I am outside or at a friends I use CH QLs.

there is def a difference in taste between the 2. i know depending on brand of GL, sum are more noticable than others. i prefer 3kings. although ive tried the japanese coals to...which are ok...after i figured out how to light them lol(the silver lining kinda confused me). but since me and my friends smoke at my house and im the one cleaning it up i prefer the QL. cause omg the natural coals are soooo messy. they ash ALOT more and are way more messier than QL.

+1

QLs spoil the whole taste. In the beggining of my hookah adventure I have been always using QLs until friend of mine showed me naturals. Since then I've never smoked a hookah with QLs. The diffrence is HUGE.

QL's use an accelerant to get them going, if their not lit completely this is what lends the bad taste and makes you sick.
