Default Cheese Mixing

While browsing the thread relating to the lighter, a question asked by one of my cheese-loving friends popped into mind.

How would it taste to mix shredded cheese with the shisha and smoke it? I've been meaning to try this with my phunnel, but my love for quesodillas always seems to eat up my cheese supply...literally.

Or, better yet, would it be possible to carve a bowl out of cheese like some people do with apples? One would need some sort of cooling and/or support system to keep it from melting away, but i'm sure it could be managed.

Any suggestions?

not many things are good in more than they're standard physical state... cheese is already good solid and liquid, it would be asking a lot for it to be good as a gas as well...

Well..I don't think this is a serious question...but if it is.

The cheese would melt...and...pretty much smell bad and i think it would ruin your shisha.. and the cheese bowl is out of the question.Cheese melts.... Common sense.

Well we (my roommate and i ) have been trying (and usually meeting with horrible failures in the process) to experiment with making non-traditional shisha flavors. OUr french-fry shisha (yes i'm serious-we took pipe tobacco, honey, glycerin, and grated potato and smoked it in a potato bowl) came out bland and generally horrible. We got the idea from a bad pack of al fakher grape that tasted like ketchup. We're going to try to make cheesburger shisha but have no idea of how to get the flavor to the smoker. Hamburger grease does not work.

That's where you went wrong. You should have put cheese in the potato bowl. MMMM Tater skins!

I think If I were to try to mix a cheese flavor I would use a little bit of cheese powder from kraft cheese and macarooni and mix that with the tobaccoo. Its the cheesest
But I don't think its a good idea.

If you are going to try it, apply foil inside your bowl before packing for the easy cleanup after it fails.

If anyone watches Top Gear as often as I do, they would understand this next comment:

Why are you giving Jeremy Clarkson more ammunition against us man.

Try sprinking some fake cheese powder (like the stuff you put on popcorn) on the shisha and see if that works.

But back on topic, I'd also be concerned about the oil/grease in the cheese when it melts. Theres a lot of potential for things to go wrong there... I'd do what PL suggested and line the funnel with foil to make clean up easy when things go wrong. If anything were going to be successful I think the Kraft mac n' cheese powder would be it, but I'll let you do this before I contemplate this mad science.

Cheese is about 40-50 % fat ... something tells me you don't want grease in your lungs

yea, cheese is not a good idea. I think you need to approach it differently....

Think about Al Fakher. They made a ketchup shisha using variants of grape. Try going with some weird fruit, something that you might be able to extract an extract from and see if it smells anything like cheese.
