Default Best Travel Hookah

I'm looking for a small hookah (less that 14") that i can carry with me easily. I want something sturdy that i can take to friends' houses and on trips with me. I would only want it to be a single hosed hookah.

I have seen the MYA QT and Bambino hookahs and i wanted some opinions/ comparisons of those 2 and any suggestions for others of a similar size.
Thanks!

I have a QT and it is extremely sturdy and smokes very well. Although I like the design on the Bambino more.

I have both the MYA QT, and the Bambino available to me whenever I want. I have smoked from both hookahs before, and they both smoke very very well, especially for their size. They both are great little hookahs! Since you said you want more than 1 hose, then I would suggest the QT, as you can get those with the 2 hose option. If you are really set on the Bambino, you can check out photolinger's video here:

http://www.hookahpro.com/forum/video...s&videoid=1900

In that video, he shows you how to convert a Bambino into a 2 hosed hookah, by converting the purge valve into another hose port!

Good luck with your decision! I almost forgot to mention, both the QT and the Bambino come with a carrying case, the QT comes with a cage that you can even leave the hookah in while youre smoking it! The Bambino comes with its own little hard case, so you wont have to worry about either of them getting damaged during travels. Im sure which ever hookah you do decide to go with, you will like it very much!

I've smoked a bambino and QT, and as mentioned both smoke great. I own a 14" mya chic that smokes very well also! I think for the most part, mini mya's are the way to go for a good smoke out of a small hookah! wow i haven't posted in a while

mya is what you want for a small portable hookah. i have a QT and the only thing wrong with it is that it is common chamber, so purging is difficult. other then that it's the best in it's class.

I forget if it's the Mya Nou Nou or Diva. One has a very sturdy triangular shaped base, and the stem is longer. It also has a much bigger air chamber than the Bambino or QT and it's the same size.

If your worried about the purge I would say get a bambino and do the mod that photolinger did with his bambino. He got the sucker to purge completely.

Check it out.

I guess I'm not doing somethin' right. My 'travel rig' is a 26" brass syrian (came with a carry bag) that only cost a few bucks more than a Bambino.

I got the QT for a travel hookah. I liked the looks of the bambino better, but got the QT because the base is more stable. It smokes great, and is well built. Neither model purge well, but there is a video mod on this forum that fixes that using a straw.

The HoboNargile will come with a two hose option:

The QT/Bambino are as portable as traditional hookahs get, but there isnt a traditional hookah out there that I would realistically "travel" with, as in packing up on a plane and then carrying with me in my backpack for several months. Space is sacred, glass is too big a liability to carry.

Here you go, only $45, bigger smoke chamber, more sturdy, can easily be converted to two hose hookah, and smokes identical to the QT and Bambino. I have the Bambino and the Nou Nou. They are both great. Good luck.

i don't like the design on that base.
looks like water may tend to shoot up through stem if you purge hard.

No not at all. I've actually had more problems with that on my Bambino. They are pretty much identical in design being both Mya's, but the Nou Nou has a removal purge valve that can be swapped easily for a 2nd port. I think the Bambino looks better, but for a travel hookah I personally would go with the Nou Nou. The Diva is a great pipe too, but the chamber is very small and is quite a bit bigger. Of all 3, for the most part they smoke identical to each other.

Purging too hard can be a problem on just about any smaller hookah if you're not careful, and none of these are on par with KM's or the like as far as purging, but they function ok.

You are bringing your Temsah Wheat? Take something more solid so you can use it as a melee weapon

I found that one of my favorite travel hookahs was a Leila Portable hookah from hookah-shisha.com. It was aesthetically appealing, metal lightweight, has a nice led light, and can fit in your cup holder of a car. Sambooka did a very good review of them you should check it out sometime.

Thumbs up Re: Best Travel Hookah

table-top hubbly bubbly.

surprisingly GOOD smoker. it's actually a bit shorter using the QT base, more stable, and fits in the case with the bowl (genie vortex) on. very pleased with it. would probably even fit with the regular vortex, which i'll get in the future.
