Default uk desperation purchase of single coil burner

i think that the most aggreed thing about heating naturals are that coil burners are the best however they are scarce in the uk so i found this thing on amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...pf_rd_i=468294
dont really know much about how well it works the main point of this post was to see if any uk customers have this and to give me some advice on how good or bad it is i will put up a review when it arrives (also it had some shifty postage costs so after mulling it over for a while im taking the plunge lets hope its not a scam)

Hmm, i was about to order a single coil from U.S, of course it was 110v so i had to buy a transformer that could change from 110v to 240v (in norway its 240v and 250v), I dont know about you, but a transformer for something thats 1000-1500w is damn expensive in norway...

i took the plunge as well and ordered the exact same one a week ago, i had a good look around for these and i couldn't find one in the UK.. i considered getting a camping gas stove (they're about 15 from argos) and also considered ordering one from the US but I read someone did that and it blew up..
i read esteban got this one too and even though it is pricey it will save me a lot of hassle... hopefully i'll get it by the end of the week and will post a review for it after testing it

i did try looking for a coil burner a while ago, had one at uni and it was realy good at heating up naturals. however couldnt find one, but now i dont even need one at all.

I have a gas stove at home and what i did was find a really fine steel mesh. it was really fine mesh used to cover pans when adding stuff so the oil dont go everywhere.

i put the fine mesh over the gas stove, and then put the coals on top of it. the coals are directly above where the flame touches the metal mesh. the mesh gets red hot and i put the coals (cocobricos/coconaras) a couple of minutes each side.

heats them quicker than the coil burner as i beleive you get sort of the same coil burner effect as well as the extra heat from the flame. i have no need for a coil burner now

I got one from the US previously which blew up. Now I've got the one from Amazon, expensive but nice. No need for a transformer, it has a UK plug and should prove to be reliable because it's made in Japan.
