Default best way to repair a narbish?

hey guys, i'm pretty sad right now because my narbish hose broke. it may have been a defective hose because ever since the first day of using the narb (haha narb...). i noticed i couldn't ever get big clouds (not that it bothers me), no matter what i did to it.

i switched to my standard mya hose because my narbish had a ghost and i needed to clean it and i noticed an insane difference in amount of smoke, flavor, buzz, and smoke density. so i was messing with the narb and i had found out that the hot glue was seperated from the hose and the port. i have only used this hose about 15 times. the hose port end is now separated from the actual hose part.

i'm not really too upset about it, and i don't want to bother john because i think i bother him enough as it is...but since i'm not really a DIY kind of person, i was wondering how it could be fixed? i was going to use hot glue but i don't want it to fall apart again. i was thinking gorilla glue would work but i don't want to leave a permanant taste of glue in my brand new narbish...can anyone help me out? i can take pictures if it helps.

I had the same prob with my prize Narbish. Except its seperating from the handle to the hose. Agh, love the diameter of the hookah hose, but it sucks that its not made out of strong materials

HOT GLUE will be your best friend! I am going to try to fix it. But, its going to be hard because the threading is in the way for me to ensure that I will get a good seal.

does gorilla glue leave any sort of smell or aftertaste though? I know that hot glue would probably be okay, but only as a temporary solution as it is a lot weaker than gorilla glue.

Mine fell apart as well at the handle to hose joint. Little bit of time and hot glue and I was able to make it look like new.

i wish i had taken some pictures of the process today... i just rigged mine up to work by taking the long tube off the port end, and jamming the acrylic into the hose itself where the rubber gasket is, and duct taping it on. i then used the rope from that end to cover up the duct tape, and superglued the ends of the rope to keep my handiwork from coming undone.

Dissolving glue.... when the creators of the Nammor/Razan/Narbish/Grand hoses figure that one out, that'll be the day.

According to John, if I read the email correctly, the new Narbish hoses have addressed the glue issue. However, the maker of the hoses accidently glued in the mouthpiece. The next batch will not have glued in mouthpieces.

You can still clean this hose..I made a video showing how..

I have repaired a hose with Gorilla Glue and had no problems with a funny taste. After you use it, be sure to let it sit and air out for a few days. This should allow the glue to properly dry and the smell to fade. Blowing it out a little and smoking a strong flavor should help completely get rid of any glue smell.

believe it or not, the method they use to make this hose is pretty much the exact same they do to make other washable hoses, just make sure to not get the glue warm when you wash it, and if it goes away, just apply some hot glue to it, its what they did before they sent it to you!
