Default I need an help on this KM

Hello Friends,

In my last message of a couple of weeks ago, I was looking for a KM in Europe. Unforunately, the forum's friends in UK hadn't a Tri-Metal so I've bought it from a German online shop.

I've received it today and, apart the big disappointment because I ordered a stem of 29" and he has shipped me a stem of 23" , I'd like to be sure that the hookah is a genuine KM because I've never seen one before.

Here below I'm posting the photos. In the # 8 it is possible to read on the ash tray Khalil Mamon with one "o" only and its hole is too narrow to fit on the stem (see pic # 9) further, the hose seems to be very poor in quality (see pic # 13) and finally, the cardboard shows the correct brand while the plastig bag where the stem was, shows a different brand/logo . What do you think?

Bye,

Giuseppe

that's gotta be legit... all KM trays are loose and wiggle on the stem... it's just how they are... I can't speak for the hose but hookah looks real. Congrats!

Definitely a KM, as for the size, the extra six inches is coming from the base. All vendors measure differently and you should have clarified the measurements with the vendor before ordering if you were worried about size. Thats a really nice hookah and should smoke amazingly regardless of its size.

As for the tray not fitting correctly, the tri metal I just received has the same problem. Just give it a push, its no big deal. If it really bothers you get something to sand the inner ring of the tray down a little bit. As for the hose, the quality is KM quality. Everything is hand made so parts will vary in aesthetics. As long as theres no air leaks, its fine.

I did and this was his reply: It's 74cm without the glas and clay bowl, so only the stem is measured. 74cm are 29".

Aside from the tray not fitting...

The stem, the heart, the ports, the tray shelf stamping all match my trimetal.
The hose is KM, have one of those.
That is the KM box and that is the red/blue bag that KMs come in.

If that's not a KM it's a super, super, SUPER good fake.

my km gold band tray did not fit my americana well, you sorta had to push it down at the right angle to get it to go down all the way...

hate on me all you want, but this is why i like the threaded trays...

as for fixing that, use some pliers and pull the center metal back a little until it slides on.

The gold band tray was made for the ice chamber premium KMs so it only clears the bulb just under the bowl tip and not the second larger bulb on non-ice chamber KMs (the center portion of the ice chambers connect to that lower bulb). It's a simple fix as you have said though.

I too prefer a more stable tray but it's something that isn't much of an issue once you get used to it. I do wish KM put little tabs or pegs on the tray rest so the thing doesn't slide around. Little magnets can be used to perform the same function.

I only have to solve the matter of the different height with the seller, I'll keep you informed.

I've measured it with base and it is 26" (67cm). The base is small and its height is 10" (27cm) only further, in order to not have any kind of problem, I clearly asked to the seller the height of the hookah and he replied me: It's 29" (74cm) without the glas and clay bowl, so only the stem is measured.
As of now, he has not yet replied to my request to change it with the correct one

A 29 inch stem probably does not exist. Unless you're talking about the KM double tri-metal... http://**********.com/product.sc?pro...2&categoryId=8

Honestly, I do not know. I can only say that on his website, there are the following tri-metals:
http://www.shisha-net.de/Wasserpfeif...rabesque-.html (29")
and
http://www.shisha-net.de/Wasserpfeif...etal-86cm.html (34")

I asked him the size and he replied what you can read in a couple of messages above.

Try measuring the hookah with base, stem and bowl. It should be about 29". Some vendors measure the hookah with the bowl on top and some don't. But that's a legit KM and it looks like it's the right size.

This is what he replied to my question: It's 29" (74cm) without the glas and clay bowl, so only the stem is measured.
