Default Darwish Hookahs?

Hey saw the Darwish on HookahStore.com's website. Wanted to see if anyone has tried them or has any feedback. I really dig how they look but based on the vendors post about their release I was kinda put off. Common Chamber and screw together isn't really my cup'o'tea.

I am eagerly awaiting BradedUp's review on the one his friends got him for his birthday. It really doesnt seem like anything but a more traditional looking MYA type hookah (the whole screwing and common chamber thing), but i will reserve judgement.

When I didn't see it in his sig anymore I asked him about it. Here's the PROS ans CONS he gave me about them:

Pros: Big tray, nice vases, decent gauge, heavy metal(it appeared to be like sand cast brass that was plated, but I didn't really examine thoroughly), but my stem did have a good amount of weight to it, despite being hollow.

CONS: sectional, plated common, shit hose, price, hollow

A plated common chamber?? No thanks I'll pass.

Plated common chambers really mean the manufacturer tried to make you happy without using their brain.

yeah, as HM said, those are the pros and cons

if u can get over the plated common its actually really nice.

I actually still have the hookah kinda...its really complicated, but one of the friends who got it for me has it with him while he is interning a few hours away.

...and will eventually do a review...just been hella busy lately.

The plated common chamber isn't worth the trouble. I thought I liked the tight draw at first, but it got to the point where it was making me sore smoking it. Also, you will NEVER be able to clean it at all. It's impossible, even with a salt/baking soda/lemon juice cocktail. If water gets in there and doesn't come out, which some won't, here comes the rust.

Hookahs like this tend to be very well made, save the plated chamber.

I know most of you guys weren't around to see the Syrians that an old vendor had, but they were the same design, and they were Solid as all hell but the plated common was hard to get past.

My buddy just got one.

It smokes great, looks great, and he loves it.

It doesn't purge well at all. The common chamber could be a problem down the line.

For the money, it smokes as well as my KM, if not for the purge. On the upside, hookahstore sent him gobs of free goodies with it (Including a KM hose, and a big box of coconaras) Way to go for the vendor. All things considered, he got about $45 worth of stuff that wasn't promised to be included as a bonus. That's going above and beyond. I'd definitely recommend the vendor.

The pipe's okay, for the money, I'd rather get a syrian.
