Default Is this an MZ?

So my local mid east bakery sells rigs and just got a shipment in of what I believe is MZ's. So lets see if the trusty HP community can identify that hookah!

Thank you, thank you. Saw the stamp but didn't know if it was MZ or not. Couldn't read it from underneth. They're asking 100 for them don't know if that'd be any cheaper than ordering from john or somewhere with shipping.

Yup, that shows that is a genuine MZ.

Here's some online vendors that carry that one:

Why order an MZ when you can get a KM shipped for just as much from HJ? The selection is better too.

I'd get an MZ as I can get it locally without having to pay shipping and I already have a KM double pear so I'm wanting another rig

That looks like a MZ to me, particularly looks a bit like the Horas. The globe stamp in the tray is a dead giveaway. The one in the photo has the same base as mine does, only mine is red and the hose mine came with is different as well. $100 seems like a bit much. How tall is the stem? I have a 36" double pear that I paid $80-something for when I ordered from John.

The only thing about the hookah at your local shop that differs from most MZs I've seen is the purge valve. That one appears (best I can tell) hexagonal in shape with a tip, whereas most of the ones I've seen have a bulbous shape to them.

Yeah the purge valve is like a pointed cage almost, really neat in my opinion. I know I could get it for cheaper online but I really like the store and the people that work there so I wouldn't mind paying a little more to get it locally.

Right on. I fully agree with supporting local business. You're lucky you have a shop nearby that sells name-brand Egyptian rigs. My local shops sell the little Chinese pumpkins and another shop only carries the Sahara Smoke hookahs.

I wouldn't take an MZ if Jesus crapped it out and gift wrapped it and gave it to me for Christmas.

I really like my MZ. Granted, I have little experience with other brands. It beats the heck out of my first hookah - a generic Chinese pumpkin, I know that much. My understanding is that they aren't as heavy and solid as a KM. With that said, mine has clean welds, the pull is smooth, and I hope to enjoy it for a long time. I guess I'll just have to see if it stands the test of time. I have a Mya QT on its way from John and I'd eventually like to purchase a Syrian hookah. Until then, my MZ is serving me well and has provided many enjoyable sessions. For someone who wants an authentic Egyptian hookah, but can't afford a KM, it's a good option.

yes, the stamp on the tray in the first pic was a dead giveaway... either that, or you got a different hookah, with an MZ tray on it lol

What brands of tobacco does Jerusalem Bakery (I'm guessing that's where you found these) sell?

Yeah, looks like an MZ that we carry in our store. MZ's are definitely some good hookahs.

They have Nakhla, Al Fakher, and Skyzz. Their selection has gone down quite a bit recently, but they still have a decent aray of flavors. They have some El Basha as well and Hennaway. They also sell coconara's just haven't picked any up. And if you go pick up a gyro they're flipping amazing

I will definitely go check that out and hell yes I'm getting a gyro. Unfortunately, I have to wait until Thanksgiving break.
