Default Shisha Types

I have been religously smoking hookah for not too long now. However, i am trying differnt flavors, and i find myself coming back to SB (starbuzz) tobacco.

I have tried a few AF, a few tangiers and one naklah flavor. Im finding i get more of an enjoyable session with the SB tobacco. Its easier to manage heat, i dont ever have any harsh smoke like AF. Doesnt make me sick to my stomach like naklah. Am i doing something wrong with the other types?

Dont get me wrong, the other flavors were nice. I love the naklah fahkfakina fruits flavor. Its awesome. I just for some reason seem to be having issues of all the other types getting harsh, or burned. Is it just my packing? I pack all of my boels the same way, no matter what tobacco it is. Well except tangiers, cause i didnt pack those bowls.

I guess im just lookin for affirmation. That, am i just retarded or are the other tobaccos just more difficult to deal with and harder to maintain a good hookah session without nasty flavors or coal issues.

you may be doing the other bowls wrong, but SB is also in a whole diffrent class then the others it doesnt smoke the same or taste nearly the same as the other do, which may mean for some people more harsh.

however there are brands out there like SB you can try, i for example find that alot of JM flavor reminds me of SB in how sweet it can be and how easy it is to smoke.

the reason sb can charge the amout they do is because of the ease of use. its takes practice to get the other brands smoking the way you want but usually only one or two to get sb down. personally i love sb and do pay the premium for it. people always complain about the price of sb but i have never had a bad smoke from sb, but have had bad smokes from all the other brands you mentioned.

Well, Id hate to ask this, cause i am sure this will start a huge war, but what makes SB soooooo bad? The fact that it is main stream, has higher prices, and candy flavors?

It's mainly the price tag that I think leans people away from SB. I've found a lot of SB flavors to be really good, but I don't really feel like paying $22+ for 250g of it every time.

It seems that you prefer SB more than other brands and I don't see anything wrong with that. If you like it, stick with it.

I have the same problem with AF or layalina or any other tobacco i try.

I have found SB and Fantasia to work for me so i stick with them even though they are a little more expensive. I guess you get what you pay for =) easy and flavorful smoking

SB doesn't charge their crazy price because of ease of use. they charge it because they can and people wil pay it. Sb is a heavily washed, high glycerin, and over flavored product, which makes for an easy smoke w/no physical effects ,and in your face flavor. this is fine for some, but less than appealing to others. To each their own.

I don't mind SB, just the price tag. If you like it, like I do just smoke it.

It's not the high price as I would have no problem spending 30 U.S.+ for 250g of something great. What the masses like is more often then crap when it comes to music, food, politics, clothes and basically anything consumed but mere mass acceptance dosn't make something crappy. Rather mass acceptance serves to help predict crappyness. As someone once said "i've never lost a nickle underestimating the public's tastes or intelligence.

What makes SB so horrible is that it tastes so damn fake. It screams bogus, looks like a chemistry set gone wrong. It's focus group driven, cloying and plastic. It's Hanson or Hanna Montana but less sincere, less talented with extra commercialism and cheesyness.

King Moassel, Cuzzins & Zona/Epic merely suck while SB sucks on a spectacular level.

I would pay 100$ for 250g of the the best tobacco, just as I would drop hundreds on a good bottle of scotch. That's not the problem.

I am so dissatisfied with Starbuzz as a product. It tastes artificial, it is not fulfilling and half the product weight has got to be glycerin.

People will gladly overpay pay for "15 min. of fame" pop music and Hannah Montana lunch boxes, and people will continue to gladly overpay for sub-par tobacco.

I would pay sub Al-Waha prices for what I get out of it.

I personally can't stand smoking SB or Fantasia since I started smoking nothing but Tangiers and Nakhla. The past several times I've smoked SB or Fantasia I seriously felt sick to my stomach.
The flavor was way to artificial and way too "in your face" for my liking.
I seriously had the feeling like I was going to throw up from it.

It has a higher nicotine content, make sure you smoke on a full stomach and stay hydrated!

When you buy SB you are paying for about 50% glycerin which is to say you are getting ripped off. Still, if someone likes it enough to pay the absurd prices they charge then I can do is shake my head and hope that such person would try a decent washed product like Salloum.

I like it for certain flavors they have. Others are gross, but I like their cherry, pomegranate, plum, and a couple others. Check out the stash thread in a couple minutes, I'm posting up some pics.
