Question Portable backpack hookah

Now I know anyone who reads this thinks I found a place that sells this ( well I have . .but it sucks http://orockinc.com/images/shisha/Za...e%20Shisha.JPG ) but I wanted to ask that If you could buy a backpack hookah of modular contruction and optimum efficiency, that poses no threat of you getting burned and is not much hassle, would you buy it and smoke on the street while you walk?

What I was thinking about was a stylish Darth Vader/Mechanicum kind of box that has a hookah mechanism inside of it and several compartments to keep spare loaded bowls, a triple jet propane lighter, tongs and quick lite/nat charcoal.
It would be padded and comfortable on your back and have a hose or two that connect to a valved respirator mask that you wear on your lower face or just a regular cobra style mouthpiece.

The wearer of course would be insulated against heat and the design of the bowl assemby would prevent charcoal from moving around.

I've made some sketches of what I mean but thei're pretty basic.

What I'm asking is you general opinion and if you would get one and walk around smoking like a human steam train?

I dunno...I always consider hookah as a way to wind down from whatever I did that day, not something to do on a walk to work or the store or something.

I'd only smoke that if it was also on a jet pack and I could fly through the clouds while smoking.

*chants* Jet pack! Jet pack!

Nah, I'm just with aschles. I really only smoke to relax, and I'm not relaxing while wearing a backpack.. unless I'm in the clouds of course.

Am I the only one that finds this statement funny?

In all seriousness though, I wouldn't use something like that. For me, hookah is about relaxation and stress relief. It's just a bad mash up of moods to make it something I could use on the go.

However, something easily fabricated for the car might be a different story.

Perhaps put a hookah on a Radio Flyer, pulled behind you. take a casual stroll around the neighborhood.

Definitely agree. Some more car hookah ideas would be sweet. I love roadtrippin with hookah. But as far as walking and being out while smoking, sure it'd be nice, but I believe I'm repeating everyone when I say I'd rather smoke to relax and hang around.

Personally, one of my favorite things about hookah is the fact that with a traditional setup, you're tied to one place.

The idea doesn't appeal to me either. I like a "traditional" setup, sit, relax..

I keep getting the feeling that if they did come up with an idea like this it would not be so good in practice... I mean I'm not sure if I would be able to walk and smoke at the same time. I could see someone get light-headed and faint from the combination of lack of oxygen and physical exercise.

Quoted for truth:

[FONT=Tahoma]"Smoking a hookah is nothing like smoking a cigarette.
Cigarettes are for nervous people, competitive people,
people on the run. When you smoke a hookah, you
have time to think. It teaches you patience and tolerance,
and gives you an appreciation of good company."
