Default Tangiers lucid harsh?

I want to get Tangiers lucid orange soda, horchata, and tasty peach.

Does tangiers lucid need acclimating? does it have a tickle.?

Lucid is a way more friendly version of Noir, all the lucid flavors I have came right out the bag smokable. If you use the right heat on it, no problems, but as soon as you over heat it, pretty damn harsh. Takes a bowl or two to get every thing right, so if its harsh, just back off it for a litle bit and try again. I went through 3 bowls before i got it to smoke right.

+1 to the above. It seems like Tangiers will lose flavor/get a bit harsh if you have too much heat on it. Try dropping off a coal and playing around with adding/removing a windcover.

They have all been tasteless to me so far .. I've tried Lucid Watermelon and Strawberry. Well not tasteless, but not Strawberry or Watermelon either .. just a faint taste of something, mixed with a light BBQ smell, not as heavy on the BBQ as the noir line though. I just can't seem to get the planets to align perfectly for me, maybe one of these days I will finally get a taste of something good! But in the meantime, I am finding that it is very inconsistent in my opinion.

i have a buddy that smokes nothing but tangiers. I have had a few flavors, and they can get a bit harsh. Tangiers is great though, it gives you a really nice lightheaded feeling through the entire bowl.

Tangiers Lucid always treats me fairly well. Don't expect flavors that are always light to be strong. Eric is still limited by the same problems that other blenders come up against.

I don't smoke anything but Lucid most of time when I'm not smoking DM, and when you get the good tight pack, holes all the way down to the bottom + two coals, switching a fresh one in when they start to die...

There's nothing to smoking it but packing it tight in the bowl.

lucid has no acclimation required but let it sit for 30 mins to make the flavor pop thats what i do with my orange soda and its always great and no tickle unless you burn it but its kinda hard to burn it IMO

All glycerine based moassels acclimate. Noir is affected by it most because it is a very low water content tobacco. Lucid is also low water content but is washed and is less affected by humidity changes.

The harsh and tickle is almost always a sign of underpacking and/or overheating. If you know what you are doing, Noir and Lucid can both be smoked as smooth as any other brand. If your Tangiers smells good but is not smoking well, more than likely you need to adjust your packing method and/or heat management.

Let it acclimate over night it made a big diffeence and be careful with the heat as stated in the above posts. Always full of flavor and no problems.
