Default Why is Nakhla so much cheaper in my local store?

All of the local shops around me sell 250g boxes of Nakhla for $6 - $7. All of them. But it seems that everyone online is selling it for $9 - $11. I would think the lack of overhead in an online store would allow it to be cheaper, but it's actually significantly more expensive. Why would that be the case?

Even without any tax at all, I would think that a brick and mortar store would still have to charge more simply because they have to spend a ton of money just to exist, while an online store has almost no cost at all besides inventory.

I don't know about your stores, but there are hardly any people in my area that smoke hookah-shisha and they have had their stock forever. That's why I can get 250g of Nakhla for $5.

Tobacco is sold for heavy profit. Cheap to grow and cheaper to flavor. When you see 11 dollar nakhla online it doesn't mean its 11 bucks, all they paid for it was 4 bucks and there making a profit. Discounts are made to appear as though the customer is getting a fair price or better price than those that would not be given a discount. Nothings wrong with profit, although as me being a Super Jew (yes Im a jew and a very good jew at that) I wont overpay too much for products, thats why I hunt for the lowest price and best customer service combo in a harmonic balance. Local shops have a hard time selling tobacco like Nakhla so its sold at little or no profit, although those people like us online, where we climb over eachother at the mere idea of Nakhla Gum, they take us to market. Its all part of the game guys.

i'm fairly convinced nahkla's msrp (if such a thing exists in the eygpt) is between 6-8 dollars, I've come to this conclusion based on the fact that this seems to be the price range for nahkla in every large store (world/arab grocers etc.). Smoke shops are a black-hole of mark-up, it's kinda like buying a snack at the airport. As stated, on-line retailers are kind of an in-between they basically play the demand game, we want it, they got it, we'll pay for it. If we stopped going to them, the prices would drop but most of us don't live near a place that has the selection we hookah-heads desire...

everything in retail is marked up. The demand especially for somethings is so high, that people can charge an extreme amount and people will pay it. I think it is a combination of supply and demand with profit margin. As all things are and honestly should be.

I think we should be wondering more about why people pay 25 bucks a tin of 250g of glycerin loaded starbuzz, and why thier prices are so exorbitantly high for what you get. Small amount of tobacco with a large amount of glycerine.

Clearly the reason nakhla is so cheap in stores is because we are actually buying out of the store owners private stash, as they undoubtedly tried nakhla and fell to their knees in praise, and thus want to spread its love to the world at a fair price.

Lol No, owners only praise and love the Almighty Tangiers, they were on there way to throw the Nakhla out and thought they might be able to sell it for a couple bucks so thats why its on his shelves. lol
