It's not washable. I suggest replacing it. Once water has contacted the coil and the leather it begins to corrode. It's just a fact that comes with leather hoses.

update!!!!!

just lit up a bowl and all... began to suck (well my girlfriend began to)... and chunks of rust went into our mouths... think its time for a new hose.

I clean my hookahs after every smoke with lemon juice and baking soda, but I don't everyday so its not that big of a hassle. 10 minutes of work is worth it for a fresh tasting bowl.

I really don't feel a need to replace it, it doesn't have a bad taste or smell and doesn't even hold flavors too much. I will definitely consider replacing it once it actually seems like it needs replacing, but I assure you it's fine right now.

As a precaution though I'd blow it out before you use it. Inhaling flecks of rust isn't pleasant, I learned this the hard way from a mya hose.
