Default Hookah & sports

I was just wondering, is anyone on hp into sports, or lifting the hose is enough of a workout? And if so, does smoking shisha have any kind of negative effect on it.
Me personally, am an occasional jogger. I was jogging daily when I was smoking cigarettes ( many year ago) and I was coughing up a lot after the run. With shisha it is not that bad...if I do not run right after smoking, I am in a pretty good shape, no coughing or anything. I used to even do yoga while smoking shisha with no side-effects.

Well that's a question i have been having since, I'm going to start to wrestle in competitions and junk. Based off of what people say ,sometimes, an occasional session wont impede your performance.

The most action I get is an occasional bike ride to work. I work about 5 miles away from my home so it's a decent ride but every time I do it I really have to push myself to get where I'm going. (I have to give myself a pep talk the whole way there) When I get home from a ride I don't have any desire to smoke for a couple of hours though because I'm too out of breath. :/ I'm out of shape.

as a profesinol critic of things i dont like, hookah has not hindered me in anyway, in fact, having a hookah while critizing has always given me a creative buzz, which causes me to just about ignore the world....prob better for those around.

Hookahking72 and I played football in high school together. We used to smoke the night before every game. Was just tradition...more like a ritual it seemed...but none the less it didn't effect us at all.

i don't smoke before i lift. it just makes me feel pretty dizzy and i can't concentrate well. i do personal train though (myself and others) and after a good workout i like to go back and smoke a bowl to just relax myself. im kinda curious what impact that has on my gains since normally slow gradual relaxing is more natural and probably better for you but resting/relaxing in general is good for muscle development (since stress/loss of sleep can hamper gains as well >_<). i don't do much cardio so i can't complain about how smoking has affected that. but i feel like it gives me more of a reward to do a good job in the gym and also helps me sleep better. so i would recommend smoking after but thats just me

I'm with jix, nothin like a bowl of Nahkla after a post workout shake and shower...

That being said my cardio capacity has been on the steady rise (as I've lost weight) over the last four years and I haven't seen the progress slow down even a year and a half after I started smoking...

Im a wresting coach for highschool, i smoke a pack a day plus a bowl or two of hookah per day. It doesnt impede my proformance at all, but that may just be me. I think a lot of it is mental when it comes to letting things hold you back. When i did compete i used to wrestle with sprains and such and just pushed through it, plus once youve spent a week cutting weight for a match you dont notice much else except the hunger.

I run Cross Country and can run 7 - 10 miles no problem even the days I smoke. I just smoke early that way my lungs have time to rest before I go run later at night.

I'm jealous of all you in shape people, haha. I smoke cigarettes too so I cough a ton with even mild cardio.

Yea I find Nakhla is good for cig smokers. As it's not washed you get a hefty dose of nicotine so some non cig smokers can't handle it.... now dont everyone get defensive, i said SOME. haha anyways Give sweet melon a try JiX' You'll love it.

I don't play any sports per se, just pick up games of basketball and what not. I do work out about 3-4 times a week. I stopped smoking for about 3 months and my running times have improved, along with ease of running. But, to be honest, I miss shisha, so its a fair trade off

i play football (soccer for the USA people) and it only affects me when I smoke and dont train, but when I'm in my routine of football and gym, then i dont feel an affect, so i see it as keeping yourself active.
