Default Question on Tangiers and Flavor

When i smoke naklah or starbuzz, or AF. I taste the flavor of whatever it is supposed to be. Well with the exception of starbuzzz sour apple, yuck..

When i smoke tangiers, all i taste is a sour fruit loop flavor. Is there something wrong here? Is it the aclamation thing? My buddy is the one that always brings the tangiers around, and every flavor tastes the same. It just tastes sour. He brought cashmir apple over the other night, and it prompted me to ask this, cause i am baffled as to what the hell is going on with the tangiers tobacco.

I have been thinking about buying some different tangiers flavors, but if they all just taste sour and no other flavors, then i am going to stick with naklah where it actaully tastes like it is supposed to.

Ask your friend if you can smell it before he packs the bowl. If it doesn't smell like what it's supposed to smell like(the labeled flavor), it's not acclimated right.

never witnessed this for myself. usually if it's not acclimated properly it'll smell and taste like soy sauce, bbq sauce, heavy tobacco, and/or an ash tray.

Hmmm.. Ok. yeah it smelled like sour.. LMAO. I asked if he acclimates it, and he says he never does. (shrugs) we live in Cali and only a couple hours from whre its made and we shouldnt have to acclimate it i dont think. I dont know. I have been thinking about buying a pack, and acclimating it to try it out.

Don't know what the problem could be but I can say with absolute certainty that the Kashmir flavors are far from sour! I've been smoking quite a bit of Kashmir Cherry, it has a heavy spice/incense/floral sort of taste with the cherry being more of an aftertaste. Nothing sour or overly fruity about it at all.

Nothing could be further from the truth. Absolute humidity fluctuates in California just like the rest of the world (although maybe not as radically). I've had batches of Tangiers that have had acclimating issues and I live in SoCal like you guys. Acclimating (again, this applies to Noir and not Lucid) no matter where you are is the key.

He says he loves the flavor, and it doesnt taste like anise. I dont know if it tastes sour to him or not. Maybe my taste budsjust dont like tangiers. Then again, I need to try some acclimated tobacco to find out for sure.

if it doesn't smell like the label indicates then it is not properly acclimated
