Default What do you think of these?

Well I'll be going back to Germany this December and I'm gonna bring myself back a nice new Hookah.

I'm trying to decide between this one:

http://www.kaya-agypt-shishas.de/pro...products_id=28

this one:

http://www.kaya-agypt-shishas.de/pro...roducts_id=227

and this one:

http://www.kaya-agypt-shishas.de/pro...products_id=60

What do you guys think? All of them are about the same quality wise with a screw on base, you can take the stem apart into multiple pieces, and they're all chrome plated so that no rust will build up.
I'm having a tough time deciding...

I think the second one looks the best, but I haven't heard good things about saharasmoke parts. They have the nicest vases but I heard that the downstems tend to form a layer of crystally gunk that you have to scrub off after every session. If you don't mind scrubbing every time then I'd go for the second one.

i would say the third one but i am wondering if the core is common chamber, otherwise your first choice seems nice and by the way, you have to try BLue Mist, if you didn't have already

Those aren't Saharasmoke hookahs, they're Kaya hookahs. They look like it but I don't think they're the same.. at least I hope not because I don't want to be scrubbing after every session!

I don't think it is common chamber, but I'm not sure.

Haha, alright. I'll put that on my X-Mas list!

Actually the first one looks like a mya, and the other two are ringers for saharasmoke:

There are some slight differences, mainly in the vases, but if they're not the same then they're knockoffs, which are bound to be worse than the real thing.

Well Kaya is a very good company widely distributed in Europe so I don't know who would be knocking off who.

As far as the Mya looks go, I think that all modern Hookahs kinda sorta look alike....

Well, if you're sure they're not knockoffs, I will wish you good luck and reiterate that the second is the coolest looking. :P

If TheFaded is right and the first one is a mya I'd go with that one. I have two MYAs and they both smoke nicely...

I actually like them better than my KM which is the hookah a lot of people on the forum rave about... but I have yet to get it to smoke half as nicely as either of my MYAs...

Haha alright, thanks.

Yea, I read good reviews on a German forum and they said that the stem was flawless even after months/years of smoking.

No, they're not Myas. I guess they just look like them. Myas are pretty good pipes and are often seen as better than KMs in Germany, so they'd say if they were Myas.

Yea, that's the one I'm most likely going to get. I've heard nothing but great reviews on that PN580.

They're definitely not knock offs, since they're one of the best brands in Germany and they're apparently a lot better than KMs...

Wouldn't it be possible for the same manufacturer to develop the same product and then for a retailer/reseller to label it as their own (provided a few retailer specific modifications, like etching, component placement and such)? Especially if they are mass produced.

Yea, but Kaya is a pretty big company and, like I said, the problems that Sahara Smoke Co. has do not come up with Kaya products. So yea, it's possible, but even if it is true, I'd still get a hookah that's better than KMs for about $50.... and that's a deal.

Well I just read that these are better than KMs.

THe reasons I've gathered so far are:

The base is a screw on, so it's definitely air tight. (I don't think KMs have that but I'm not sure).

The stem itself is made up of several parts. (More parts than KMs)

Since they're machine made, they're very precise when it comes to screwing the stem together or the placement of holes, etc.

The glass I heard is also better.

These are just the reasons I've gathered so far, I can't vouch for any of them.

My KM vase is air tight, I'd be more worried about threads stripping etc.

More parts doesn't mean better whatsoever. Just more things that could break, more things you have to clean and the more possible it is for the parts to rust.

Not sure what you mean by the placement of the holes? If it's what I think you mean I'd still rather the stem just be one solid piece.

And yeah, glass IMO is just glass.

The second two, I have a sneaky feeling that they're plated common chambers. I'd avoid them until I knew for sure.
The first one is not a Nargilem knockoff. From what I understand, they're the same thing. They just slap a different brand name on them. That said, they're decent rigs. I have one. In fact, if you decide on the PN Nargile, you'll save alot of money by shopping closer to home.

It's amazing you much less you pay without a brand name.

PN Nargile 630 - 59,90 = $89.17 vs $64.95
http://www.hookahwholesale.com/product_p/hke-osiris.htm

PN Nargile 480 - 39,90 = $59.33 vs $44.95

@Ukshishafan: Some vases have little air bubbles in it that can burst when the air in the expand

@joevincett: Like I said, that's only what I heard. I guess a screw on base is just more stable and there's no chance of it coming out if you tip over your hookah.

Yea, but more parts also makes it easier to clean....

Well I've seen some hookahs were the holes that the smoke enters the hose through are placed too much on the edge of the stem, resulting in them not being 100% air tight.

And like I said, glass can have bubbles in it, which is never good news.

@Zen: I looked on the website, and they're not Sahara hookahs.

@uglybiker: Yea, I've sent the store a message and asked them if they're common chambers. Yea, they're supposed to be Nargilem knockoffs but I heard the only difference is the price. They're the same quality wise.
Well I'd get mine for 49 Euros and conversion rates isn't really a factor for me since I have a bankaccount in Germany anyways. I'd save on shipping since I lived down the street from shisha-world.com's warehouse.
Are those even PN Nargiles? It doesn't say....

They're the same clear down to the patterns on the bases. They just don't carry the brand name premium.
I have the PN 480. It's also sold as the Nargilem NP 450 ECO. Hookahwholesale just calls it the Togo. It's a great little pipe (19"). Well built and it smokes right up there with my big rigs.

My friend... these hookahs simply can't be better than a KM... these are chinese made and for sure they will have common chamber...

Go for a KM... you will never regret that decision
