Sahara Smoke definitely imports their hookahs from a very cheap manufacturer, and they very well could be from the same manufacturer as the stem design is extremely similar

@uglybiker: Yeah, that's what I heard.

@rgallego: They're not Chinese made, I don't think. They're made in Egypt but I think they're assembled and shipped somewhere else.

@Zen: Well, like I said, these aren't cheaply made. That's why I doubt they're imported from the same cheap manufacturer

Those Kaya hookahs are Chinese made for sure, there's no pipe design that looks like that that isn't made there. It definitely looks common chamber as well. I would steer clear of all of those pipes, and if you want something like them, just get a Mya.

Also, I would avoid a plated common chamber.

You think the first one has a common chamber?

Most hookahs that are Machine made with a stem that breaks down are either common chamber or plated common chamber. Actually, in all of the machine made hookahs I have seen, there has never been a traditional chambered machine made pipe.

Definitely a common chamber.

Ehhh, I love my KM, but I can't say that it really smokes that much better than my comparably sized Mya. Just depends if I want my draw wide open or not. And as for the common chamber comment, I still have yet to figure out why that matters. I've gotten great smoke from a common chamber hookah. The only problem is that purging is slow.

As for these hookahs, I'm gonna break the mold and say that I think the third one looks the nicest.

Alright thanks guys.

But yea, what's the problem with the common chambers?

Cleanliness is the main problem. it's so much easier to clean two tubes compared to a big chamber. Second, those are just aluminum hookahs, which means really really cheap china material, there's an old thread from Lakemonster that popped up and it describes his trouble with Aluminum. They also don not purge fully unless modded.

I didn't know you could mod these. Is there a tutorial?

You can put a bendy straw through the purge valve to make it purge completely.

Bingo, and a plated common is the worst.

like into the chamber? I have an abundance of bendy straw and a common chamber hookah, but I can't picture how this would work.

Put one end of the straw up through the hose port and the other end will be in the chamber, making it act like a traditional chamber. There's either a video or thread on it somewhere.

The Hookah itself is made of brass and it's plated with a mix of Chrome and Nickel.

It says that when maintained on a basic level, there's gonna be no rust.

The reviews I've read on these also say that the stem is extremely heavy and they're not the biggest stems, so they can't be aluminum.

I guess I'm gonna have to put in a review when I actually get it to see how well they work!

So it's just a mya by another name? I hope they are cheaper.

They're made in Egypt, so I don't think they're MYA knockoffs.
