Default Filters

I would like to know how to increase the filtering of my hookah. I use ice plus the water to cool the smoke, however, I still get a burning feeling in my throat and lungs. Can I purchase something like the filters on cigaretts.

What kind of tobacco are you smoking? There are filters but you shouldn't be getting a burning feeling.

I'd be looking into your heat management first. Then your tobacco. Then look at HOW your smoking. How often are you taking big hits?

Try keeping your tobacco cooler - I used to think that itchy throat was a normal side effect of smoking, until a good friend taught me heat management. Try rotating your coals more often, or using less heat to start with. I think you'll be surprised with what a big difference proper heat management could make.

As already asked, please explain your setup. It sounds like a burning issue.

Aside all the tips given, I'd say the only thing that pops in my mind of making more pleasurable smoke would be to get a little taller hookah pipe to cool the smoke? But you should first of all look at heat management, which is a must, and then start getting other items.
