Question General question

I have a question. I have several hookahs. Large, mediun, small, homemade, etc.
I'm using the same bowls and shisha on all, some produce lots of smoke, thick and some less. One small nd one large produce the best, while other large is very hard to pull with very little smoke.
What are the main reasons for good smoke? (Hookah part, not shisha or something). Is it stem length, vase, any explenation on that and hookah function would be great!
P.s, all hookahs and shisha are from Israel, no special brand. That's y I didnt mentioned it.
Thanks!

Is the diameter (inside) of one of your large stems the same as the other?

I dunno. I'm at the army for the next two weeks. No hookahs allowed.
Is that a main thing?

Smaller diameter pipe will definitely give you a tighter draw. Length is less important. For instance, I could draw real fast from my 29" hookah with a wider diameter pipe and have big clouds, but would need to draw a little longer from a small 19" smaller diameter pipe to get the same density.

Heat is very important as well. If you're not getting good clouds you may want to add a coal/put them closer to the center of the bowl/etc

Water level affects the draw too. If you have too much or too little water the draw will be tighter.

So, what ur saying is that every hookah is supposed to makd big clouds if the setup is good?
The only phisical thing that matters is stem diameter?

I'd say that's about it. As long as you know how to set each hookah up properly and have a good packing technique for the bowl you are using they should all produce about the same amount of clouds. At the same time, different brands give off more/less smoke..

light fluffy pack for most tobaccos.
just below the rim.
tight HD foil.
lots of holes.
depending the the tobacco with heat management, the more heat you use the more smoke you'll get but only you'll know when to stop before burning it.
for heat sensitive tobaccos i use two coco naras on the edge.
for non heat sensitive i use 3 with a windcover and get great results.
water level inch or two above the bottom of the down stem.
add ice if you want, thicker clouds can be produced from colder water although in my experience it can rob the flavor.
