Default Lebanon, a hookah fan's paradise

Hey everyone!

I'm new to hookahpro.com but i already love it. I currently live in Beirut, Lebanon and take advantage of the fact that it is filled with hookah. I checked out how much everyone pays for their hookahs and hookah materials in the US and was outraged! It's crazy!

Here is what i have and how much i paid for it:

MYA Mozza 29": $28
MYA Mini (4): each for $5
Lebanese made 50": $40
Special Edition Lebanese pipe: $500 (ill post the picture at the end)

Flavors:

Havana 250g: $4
Al Fakhr 250g: $3

Hoses:

MYA large: $4-8

All other accessories:

REALLY CHEAP! I mean i pay $0.33 for a MYA Bowl!

I'll miss it when i leave here. I am actually thinking about opening up a lounge when i move back to Italy since i have met producers here for everything. I would end up having really good deals for merchendise. I know that the US is filled with taxes but im hoping Italy will be a little better. If you guys have any questions or anything just reply or mail me.

Ciao
Luca

Welcome to Hookah Pro! Those sound like some great prices but I don't think I'd pay 500 for that hookah in the picture haha

Welcome. That's a pretty nutsy looking pipe. How does it smoke?

It's mostly a matter of shipping and how many hands the product needs to pass through that want to make a profit before it even reaches our shores. If there are three people between the factory and the US vendor that each want to make a buck or two then a 5 dollar pack of tobacco is suddenly around 10 dollars. And that's not even including the nasty taxes we have on tobacco.

Thanks for the update and making us all a little jealous.

my opinion on Lebanon is that there is not enough hookah product and shisha selection, especially compared to the US. We have way more selection here and we have KM's and MZ's in addition to MYA's. LEbanon has a lot of Chinese junk floating around as we have here as well. What Lebanon has that makes it a hookah lovers paradise is that at most retsaurants/cafes there is hookah readily available, and in fact many of them use coconara for coal. In fact it's pretty reasonably priced like $4-$8 (except downtown over priced non quality hookah)
what area are you living in Luca?

hey everyone!

well responding to the questions:

How does it smoke? It is amazing. Due to its massive bowl size, i get so much smoke in it that its incredible. I then made sure that when they customized it, they used large pipes, and they did. On top of that, my bowl is an XXL MYA and the the hose is also pretty large :P. All of this delivers smoke that i've never gotten out of any pipe in the world.

Is it worth $500? Well no. The reason it cost a lot is because it is so unique and made from a designer company here. The coal plate is white gold and the entire thing is made out of Plexi Glass which allows me to use any temperature and never worry about cracks. Amazing material.

Back to *************:

I don't agree with you about Lebanon. It took me a year to find out where to really buy my stuff. Now i have a store that will get me any pipe i want. Oh and if he cant find it, he will let me design it, and it will get made. I can get any pipe you know about, any bowl, any accessory and whatever flavor i want. All of this, for a lot cheaper than in the US. I have tried just about every flavor in the world and every type of coal you can imagine.

Awesome thing about Lebanon is that you can get all of this everywhere. About Down Town, you are right, it isnt great, but you have to admit that being able to sit in a town square with hundreds of people smoking shisha is pretty fucking amazing. From little children till grandparents, everyone is doing it.

To smoke really good hookah/shisha, you either come to my house, some of my friend's or this Hookah Bar called Hypnotic. I know them all. Just ask

Ciao,

Luca
