Default looking for a ''rare'' bowl

Hi,

i go smoke to a local hookah cafe when i have time and i always forget to take a picture of the bowl. i once asked the owner if he wants to sell me a piece and was ready to pay big money for it... anyway he didn't want to.

the bowl is really sick, longs like 2-3 hours depending on shisha.. you don't putt a lot of shisha in it

its not deep, like an inch if not less but its kinda large (3-3.5inch)
the tunnel, is large, larger than other bowls..and its in clay

i always forget to take a picture of it...

anyway i looked up on more than 20 hookah website, did google images research and didn't find a single picture of it.

was wondering if anyone have ever seen something like i just described

im pretty sure HJ have seen one because the owner said it's from Lebanon and my friends said they have seen it in Lebanon too

hoping you guys help me find it

thanks,
MirelZ

You really have to give us better info than that. It's probably not a branded bowl but if it's really as great as you say we would all be using it if we knew what it was.

http://www.the-curiosity-shop.nl/ite...20SH108710.JPG

its that deep

it's larger though

the tunnel is bigger that the one in the picture

and i will try to find more picture for some look a like

i swear, when you guys will try to smoke from this bowl, you will throw away your phunnels/vortex which i will do as soon as i get one

Well personally I enjoy the funnel for the fact that it does not let the tobacco juice drip down the stem. To be honest It does not sound that much different from smoking with any other bowl that you know how to use. I have seen 4 hours from a funnel and two hours from my smallest Egyptian bowl. It really comes down to tobacco choice and heat management.

I am going to bet that it is an unbranded and hand made bowl from the Middle East. Finding it is going to be a hassle.

You might be talking about the Super Chief. It's a bowl that Eric of Tangiers made a long time ago but stopped production on.

i understand your point of view about the juice going down, but the main difference about the phunnel and this one is the amount of shisha it uses for the same amount of smoke and how long it last

Are you saying that this bowl uses a small amount of tobacco and produces good smoke for four hours?

the longest i stayed in that hookah cafe was 3 hours, and i still was able to smoke and have good amount of smoke and flavor before i leave, i can't confirm the 4 hours but its close to, im serious, thats why i want this bowl so much, oh and they used three kings QL's, so maybe it can the 4hours with natural coals?

My major interest here and now is what tobacco you were using. There are only a handful that I have been able to smoke for that long. Most lose flavor around the one hour mark but can still produce smoke for a while after. The bowl does not mean that much.

If it looks like the one you linked to first then it is very similar to the style that Tangiers bowls have. Is it unglazed? As in it looks like bare clay? Have you seen the inside of the bowl?

depending on which flavor we wanted,, the 3 hours i talked about was AlFakher Grape, my friend took Nakhla Double Apple, they didnt smoked the 3 hour though...

as for the picture link i showed, its just to help you understand my description, its not 100% like that

it feels like clay when you touch it, is that unglazed?
im pretty sure its 100% clay and everything is thick, you can feel its heavier than normal bowl

i didnt looked inside the bowl

Then how do you know how deep it actually is and that it is not a funnel style bowl?

Glazing means finished with a shiny coat that is usually colored. Almost a bowls that are not glass or metal are clay.

I'm just trying to understand. Your best bet is to get a picture and try to get a chance to actually handle the bowl and see what kind of bowl it really is.

well hookah bar employees are trained to use the right heat management for the type of shisha you order, and really thats what it all boils down to. at my bar they use regular MYA bowls and they last 3-4 hours

oohhh sorry i misunderstood you, after one of my friend finished smoking, we removed the foil and shisha to actually see the ''secret'(lol) of it ... i though you were talking about inside the tunnel..

i will try to go there as soon as possible to snap a picture , i guess it's the best way to explain it
