Dont overload your bowl with too many coals. Also make sure that the foil on your bowl is as tight as you can get it so the foil wont stick quite as much. If you keep up proper heat management it shouldn't be harsh.

make sure you have a gap under the foil, you need to move the coal as you smoke, try either 2 layers or reg foil or 1 layer of heavy strength, also make sure you are not putting the coal in the center of the bowl but to the edge

Your over packing your bowl. leave a decent amount of space between the top of the shisha and the foil.

where did you get the bowl from, the one i had from hookah-shisha was a pos, tiny littll thing, the mod bowls are even substantially deeper. the bowls that come with KMs are much better sized and you can leave a good space with them. as to the gap you are looking at 1/4 of an inch and most, 1/8th is probably plenty

The Hookah-shisha bowls are kinda small, but Hookah-Hookah is somewhat heat sensitive if I remember. Try not to overpack the bowl however.

i would bet its part how small the bowl is, HH also does sometime wants less heat like flippy said but i honestly never really noticed it too much. with that bowl i even hung my coals off the edge a little bit to regulate the heat

Pack your bowls lower below the rim.. and make sure the foil is tight and doesn't sag and get too close to the foil. heat management, heat management, heat management!

leave about a quarter inch between the tops of the shishas and the foil and that should cure all of your issues, also get a vortex much easier to use then a funnel and it sounds like you can use a hand
