Angry Charcoal lighting issue!!!

OK...so I used to use my electric element stove eyes to light my coal. My new house has an electric stove but it's a flat top. Without buying new coals or a burner, what can I do?

Any ideas

^ whoa! I have never seen that before! Looks cool, but also a huge waste of money/gimmick. How much is that? Is there a website/vendor that has it? I'm curious

and to the OP: I have read that you can use a pan on top of the stove, but if I remember correctly it takes longer than normal.

do not light coals on your glass top range! Not unless you want to buy a new stove in your very near future... Buy a lighter, a new 10 dollar coil burner from walgreens/ walmart, or buy new coals

those Walgreens burners are great! picked one up for a buddy of mine who doesn't have the coil burners at home like I do, and you can usually get them under $10

Gasoline is pretty cheap and works wonders.

Cheap burners work very well, I found it worked better than my stove.

i use this if you do this you have to put them almost directly on the flame so you have to pull the grate out and move the fake brick things around

the gas stove takes forever to get coals lit.

just go spend 10 bucks at walgreens for something that will last for years.
if you know a friend that works there, have them get you 20% off.
