I received a free v1 narbish on the new years day promotion John had, and the hose has already broke. The reassembly guide seems easy enough, just have not had enough time to sit down and do it. Besides the detachable mouthpiece, which my v2 narbish does not have, the hose seems to be of similar build. I'd go for it, its a great price for a good hose.

Its a great deal. I'll buy these all day long and just fix them myself. Its pretty easy and I think there is a guide floating around here somewhere on how to do it.

I bought 1 as well, as predicted it broke, HOWEVER im a bit handy/crafty and using some simple household items refurbed and and you would never know

Also, HJ did post a repair guide however the picture, at least for me never loaded, in the very last line there is a link to the original post and that gives you the best pictures and directions, that being said that method seemed very difficult you can PM me if you want the materials i used

What do you guys do to these things? :P

I have been using the V1 since I got it during the promotion and it has not broken yet. They are good hoses and seem fairly easy to repair, modify and (frankly) improve.

Ive repaired two of these hoses without the guide, I also modded them. All you need is some hot glue to fix them most the time. They are not bad.

the hose and the handle the hose and the port side the hose in general. If you are not crafty don't buy it. I just took the wrap off the hose a few days ago and found a pretty decent cut in the tubing. Had to fix that...

i bought one and it broke, then he sent me a new one as a replacement (+10000 for customer service) and i got it caught on a doornob and broke that one too.

i ended up buying some super glue and unraveleing the whole thing and super gluing the pieces together. i then covered it with some blue felt so it matched and they both work great now. no leaks at all.

so do it.

Got 2 of these when John discounted the v1's, the repair was simple and pretty straight forward.
